There’s something about the Oregon coastline. The water is turquoise and the beaches feel more like the ones back home (minus a few big rocks!) Everyone was running around in swimsuits while I had this huge sweater on, but you know, I’m used to beach waters that are 80F, not 50F! Also, the lack of palm trees still throws me off! ☀️🌴🤷🏼♀️
We are sailing the high seas with @TheYachtWeek in the British Virgin Islands and the US Virgin Islands. ❤
Welcome to The Yacht Week, a 7-day tour of select seaside locales offerered for three months in the Mediterranean every summer, before moving on to Thailand (December) and the British Virgin Islands (in December and March) come winter.
The idea is simple, and for twentysomethings of a certain inclination and income, irresistible: A week with friends on a sailboat, complete with a skipper, a sampling of idyllic ports and a roster of all-night, and occasionally all-day, parties. For about $750+ per person, groups of friends book a boat online and join an armada of other boats crewed by participants from around the world. (An equal male-to-female ratio is strictly enforced.) It’s a bit like spring break, but geared toward young professionals with means.
Imagine sailing to a different island everyday, having Lobster dinners night after night on a different island than you were tanning on earlier, meeting up with over 100 other yachts in the middle of the ocean and dancing the night away while hopping from yacht to yacht and trying your best not to fall after too much wine, rum, or tequila 😂 and the morning after when your chef prepares a healthy and yummy breakfast for you in the morning sun while you groggily check your phone for last nights evidence. 🤣😎
Take the time to do the things everyone told you would never happen for you. Enjoy them. Learn from them. And then continue on blessing everyone you come into contact with. God made this life for a culmination of beautiful and challenging tests that we share with others in order to help them grow.
Go after those dreams in your heart, God put them there for a reason.

I’m happiest next to a water body! Lunch at another vegetarian restaurant in a cute little Czech village, while listening to the sounds of the Vltava river. Simple but one of my favorite moments of vacation so far 😍 🇨🇿
The island life reminds me so much of my Singapore days, especially the flora and fauna. The seasons and more manageable hair are perks to living in the US, but I miss the greenery, warmth and character of tropical places, like the one from my childhood. I lived in flip flops, light airy clothes, and ran around with unruly hair and didn't care one bit. 💃🏻 🇧🇸
