This is a special 2 disc edition of the Tobe Hooper film the toolbox murders. At first I though this was a re-enactment of the toy box killer murders but it’s not. This movie is about a woman who lives in a old apartment building. She keeps hear things people screaming and yelling and such. And she keeps calling the police and she ends up looking like the girl who cried wolf. But something is going on. And it does seem like she had nothing better to do than figure out what’s wrong with her apartment. Over all I rate this one a 4.9 outta 10. #toolboxmurders#tobehooper#horror#dvd#movie#film#cinema#angelabettis#serialkiller#murder#murder#psycho#skinticket#leatherface

@chels_xxxo Update: So...The toolbox murders 😅 where the hell do I start haha. Bittaker and Norris, the whole thing with the van and picking the up etc. Is just downright creepy in the first place, but to then go to the extent of what these guys did is damn terrifying! 5 victims and the things they did makes you scratch your head...There's apparently a tape recording of a victim that when the jury listened to it, it made them physically sick 😱 Once again though, it's just so bizzare in general and those two, what was going through their heads?! Seriously disturbing But very interesting!! #whatswrongwithme#serialkillers#investigationofserialkillers#toolboxmurders
This week for #slasherdaysaturday I want to honour late Master of Horror Tobe Hooper, more specifically his talent for confounding expectations and going creatively hard left when everyone was expecting him to go right. Two of his slasher films that brilliantly exemplify this ability are the wholly bizarre and unhinged THE TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE 2 (1986) and the dark and moody THE TOOLBOX MURDERS (2004). In both instances he confidently took the thematic threads of the original films into entirely fresh territory when it would have been so much easier to have done more of the same. It took a long time for TCM2 to build its cult following, hopefully TOOLBOX 2004 will deservedly find its audience eventually as well. We continue to tip our hats to you Mr. Hooper. You are sorely missed.
