How I spent my #Friday nite... putting A's lil "content corner" together. I think it's coming along nicely & I'm excited to see the amazing content the mini-me creates when it's done.
Still gotta hang the curtains, paint & mount the $5 mirrors I got from #HomeDepot . Create a makeshift vanity table, find a decorative storage chest AND some large but inexpensive rustic wooden crates to use as functional tables/stands. Bling a few #details on the jewelry displays & turn my glass up when it's all done!
Almost 15 years ago in December I became a momma for the first time.
But it wasn’t until having my boys back to back that took a huge toll on my body and health. It didnt help that I was working full time, going to school full time, and doing the home life full time, too. When I finally decided in 2013 to commit to taking care of my body, eating healthier (no diets), resting more, and working on being more positive about my life, this all just became a LIFESTYLE. .
You see, REAL change does not happen over night, or in 30 days, or in 1 year. It happens over an extended period of time and being consistent with the habits that improve our bodies from the inside out. The exercise has strengthened my body and the clean eating has healed my body from the inside out.
Its not about the muscles or the abs. Although, I am a huge fan of being strong and extremely fit. However, its about CREATING a life we love and going to bed with NO REGRETS. And that starts without a doubt by taking care of #1 . Exercise and healthy eating has been a BIG part of my transformation, not only physically, but mentally and emotionally as well. I didn’t lack confidence or spirituality or faith, but I know that I was not living up to MY fullest potential six years ago because I was stuck in the same routines and habits for so long. My mind and body were burnt out! I was holding on to a lot of hurt from tough experiences and once I focused on bettering myself instead of “fixing” others, things fell into place. This journey has not been easy and it never will be. I’m still growing, learning from my mistakes, and making sure that I teach my babies to do never be afraid to step outside of their comfort zone.
My fitness/wellness journey has taught me to use ALL my experiences to be stronger. It has taught me to see past my limitations, accept my flaws, and focus on my strengths. It has taught me to show other women that no matter our past, what lies ahead will always be better if we get better.🖤 #tobecontinued#health#life#fitness#mindset#outlook
Graduating today was such a bittersweet moment. I’m closing 2018 with my bachelor’s degree and I ended my journey here at Southeastern. Soon I will start a new adventure in Ada to continue my education. Throughout my time here I faced many ups and downs, but the amount of support from my family, friends, and husband was insurmountable and helped me overcome every obstacle that came my way —you all are very much appreciated. #graduation#segrad#southeasternoklahoma#sosu#ididthedamnthing#tobecontinued

All honor and glory belongs to the most high, that granted me new strength, favor to overcome what it felt like the impossible. Pining Ceremony marks the most remarkable day of my life yet!!! This was the process of team no or hardly no sleep trying to retain all the nursing information, but thank God I made it through!!! Thank God for everyone who played an intricate part along my journey. I would not have made it. After three degrees, I have surrendered to my calling and I can finally officially say I am a RN. Wow!!! A career in helping and restoring patients to their optimal health have always been my passion. #GratefulHeart#Humbled#stepsorderd#MyPrayersAreAnswered ! #Tobecontinued 🙏🙏 👩🏾🎓🎓💃🏾
