This beautiful festive time i got to be a part of is one of the loveliest Chinese festivals, the Mid-Autumn Festival in Singapore is about celebration with the family, lantern processions and oh-so-sweet mooncakes.
Without a doubt, mooncakes are the main highlight of this Festival. Legend has it that they helped to free Yuan China from Mongol rule, after rebels organised an uprising by passing messages hidden in these seasonal sweets. Today, you’ll find them in many varieties, from the traditional with lotus seed paste and egg yolk, to snowskin versions, the one i tried was even alcoholic, seems they are filled with everything from chocolate to champagne truffle. They are best enjoyed with a strong, palate-cleansing cup of Chinese tea.
So much we don’t know, haven’t seen. #tipoftheday -Be Humble, always!🌙
Another #helenfrankenthaler kind of Day. .
I recently began working with two new clients and the work fortunately consumes most of my time (less instagram posting!) One, is an author + PhD from Harvard (!) and executive business coach for Fortune 500’s. He’s the sweetest, kindest most wonderful client, btw. .
On the OTHER end of the spectrum is a Maine-native small biz tapping into the medicinal marijuana market. She’s been at the game for years and KILLING IT. But could she be any more different than the aforementioned client above? 👆🏽.
I mention these two scenarios because their differences are actually important. I’ve been fascinated by marketing since I was a wee one, and all my career jobs have possessed marketing, but I’ve only been working for clients specifically in this category for just over a year! The two clients above seemingly demonstrate I have no ‘niche’. .
Or do I? Does **your** work have a niche? Should I encourage my clients to more clearly define theirs when my work outwardly does not? What’s the powerful30 second elevator pitch if you work with more than one ‘type’ of client or build more than one type of home, or write on a variety of topics?
I don’t think I’ll ever become the ‘Fortune 500 executive coach & author’ expert, nor the medical marijuana expert either. But I do know how to extract value from what my clients do and portray that value to the rest of the world in a way their audience understands. So if I’m not working for you, or if I am, keep your niche in mind. What’s your focus? What’s your specialty? Perhaps hold onto that....even if this specificity is not immediately apparent to your audience. #tipoftheday 🤗😬.

If you're hustling in the digital world, then having your own portfolio might not always cut it - which is why your very own personal website is the better solution! ·
You don't have to spend hundreds of thousands of dollars to set up your website. I personally use Wordpress and the Divi Builder but there are some really nice free themes out there. ·
Web hostings and domains are pretty self-explanatory. Depending on your package, you buy the hosting and get the domain for free. If you need help, you can check out some of the Youtube tutorials. I use Bluehost for both (it was a package) and a shared SSL certificate that you can get for free on Cloudflare to add that lock on my website. ·
As far as the name of the domain is concerned, the rule is that you either pick your own name or something simple.
I'd like to expand on this rule for a moment and say that you shouldn't pick something that you'd feel embarrassed when sending to other people. (remember what happened with cheesy email addresses on Yahoo a decade ago? 😅)
I mean, after all, you don't want to buy a domain named dijana-unicornwriting.com, right?
I think that's pretty much it, if you have any questions, feel free to ask!

Tip Of The Day • Studies show that deep emotional trauma, like the death of a loved one, really can break your heart. The chance of having a heart attack the day after the death of a significant other increases by 21%, and remains increased above 6% for the next week, probably due to stress hormones and their effect on the heart. When emotional trauma strikes, take extra care with yourself and rest, find emotional support, eat well, find an emotional release, and be aware that your heart really is vulnerable after emotional trauma. #bodylanguage#tipoftheday#selfcare#takecareofyourself
Impulsive behavior is the enemy of your success. It leads us to bad decisions. It is the drunk
driver of our lives, and it causes nothing but damage. Here is what you do when you feel angry. It is wonderful tip and it works like magic- imagine there was a hot pot on the stove. Really hot. Would you touch it with you bare hands? And if you did, what would happen to you? Feeling the burn? That’s what would happen to you if you act out of anger. You would get burned. Give yourself AT LEAST 20 minutes to cool off before you write that nasty text, before you send that really unnecessary email, before you say things that you shouldn’t
say and do things that you shouldn’t do. I call that The 20 Minute Rule. What can you apply it on this week?
I love #Kajal ... An ancient eye cosmetic traditionally used in the Middle East ... #Kajal is made from powders, pigments and waxes that glide on smooth & are not messy to apply ... Called #kohl in English use it to define, line, contour and darken eyelids... experiment to see how you can master this everyday essential ... good luck !
Do your car lights seem dimmer than usual?
Have the battery checked at your nearest Saeedi Pro service station if you notice headlights and interior lights are dim, accessories fail to operate, or the “check engine” or battery light is illuminated.
We will be showing how to know if some of baking ingredients are still fresh. If you love our tips, please tag a baker or your friends who loves to bake to learn. .
The majority of ingredients used in baked goods like baking soda, baking power, yeast and even flour have relatively short shelf life. So, if you don't fire up the oven frequently, you should purchase them in small quantities so they don't sit in your cupboard, quietly going rancid. .
If you're not sure how fresh an ingredient is, either simply buy a new one or test it. .
📌 To check the freshness of baking powder, pour boiling water over a small quantity. If it bubbles, it's still fresh. .
📌 Flour should smell fresh and feel light, not chalky. If you have chalky, heavy and smelly flour, it has gone bad. .
📌 If the yeast is fresh, it will dissolve in warm water (about 110-115 degrees). After few minutes, it will bubble and foam. .
One of the things that weighs me down and makes me stressed is the things I keep putting off doing. For me that is expenses, admin, cleaning email inboxes. I’ve made a list of all the these things and committing to getting them done by the end of the month 💪🏻 apparently this book can help so I’ve downloaded it. What do you keep putting off that is getting in your way? #eatthatfrog#procrastination#getitdone#yogateacher#tipoftheday#letsdothis#bookgeek
Most people make the mistake of cutting calories when recovering from an injury; the reasoning being lack of activity / workouts.
This approach does more harm than good. Well, for starters; or bodies use energy to help us recover from injuries and depending on the severity of the injury, our body could be burning anywhere from 15% to 50% more calories than usual.
Now by cutting calories, we disrupt this process of healing and this results in one of two outcomes.
1. The body starts to cannibalize muscle mass to fulfil its energy needs and fuel recovery
2. The recovery process slows down and takes longer than usual because of limited energy
Therefore, when injured instead of cutting calories, one should look to stay in maintenance or even a slight surplus so as to prevent muscle loss and optimise recovery.
To remove odor from any kind of shoes, sprinkle baking soda inside (make sure the pair is dry first) and let them air overnight. Shake them out in the morning and wipe up any leftover residue with a tissue or cloth. 👞 #tipoftheday
💎 Dica do Dia! 💎
