The midterm results suggest a daunting challenge ahead for the GOP. Republicans risk a prolonged period of electoral upheaval if they can’t find a message that resonates with both blue-collar and suburban residents. Read Charles F. McElwee’s “The Suburban Revolt,” via the link in our bio. 🗳🏘 #cityjournal#weekendreads#midterms#gop#republicans#suburbs#theburbs

As some of you know, I love having eggs for lunch. It had been a while since I cooked up my favorite protein, so I cooked some up on the stove 🍳while I roasted some veggies (sprayed with coconut oil and sprinkled with Trader Joe's Everything But the Bagel seasoning) in the toaster oven.
I started liking veggies in my mid/late 20s, but never thought to eat them as often as I do now...like, hardly ever! 😳 This year (and especially since becoming a 2BM Mentor), I have been been taking the motto "Veggies Most!" to heart, and do what I can to include veggies for at least two meals daily. 🥦🍅🥕 They're a great source of fiber, vitamins, and minerals, and help keep you full and satisfied! 😊
Besides...Love seeing all those colors on my plate. SO yummy! 😋
I could eat roasted cauliflower and broccoli all day! 😁 What's your favorite veg that you just can't get enough of???
OMFH! We worked AAALLLL the arms and shoulders today! 💪🏻🤪 I was having trouble keeping the camera still to take photos afterwards...my arms were feeling just a wee bit jiggly, lol! 👾👾👾
Listen...there's no denying that exercise is hard. Especially when you're first starting out. You WILL be sore! And, depending on what type of workout you're doing, you may have to modify things a bit...but that's okay!!!
The fact that remains is this: your body will need time to change and adapt to your new healthy lifestyle. You won't become a beast overnight (as much as we all wish we could. 😉).
But when you stay consistent with your workouts and follow a healthy, balanced nutrition plan (Note: NOT a diet!), you will reap the rewards down the road. It may take several weeks or several months, but before you know it, you're feeling stronger and lifting heavier...your clothes will fit better and you'll feel fantastic, too! 😁👍🏻
As I'm always saying...this lifestyle is a JOURNEY! It doesn't take breaks for holidays AND it's not always going to go smoothly. There will be curves and bumps along the way.
The important thing is that you stay on the path as best as you can. When "life" happens and you allow yourself to get derailed, rather than beat yourself up over it, see the moment for what it is, forgive yourself, get back on track and just...keep...going!
Because living a healthy and happy life of your own creation is SO worth it! Trust me. 💖
Not sure I would ever survive inside Lollapalooza, but you sure get a good audio concert on the outside. Those blue lights behind the bean were the lights for Red Hot Chili Peppers bouncing all over the sky. Very cool. 2017.
There are so many reasons we finally chose to move out of the city, and I am so pleased this is one of them. It took us five minutes to walk to this view, a view that grounds and centers me. THANK YOU, Edmonds, for existing. I could watch the ferries come and go all day! ⛴💙
It was a cold and blustery day in New England, so I made up some turkey chili for dinner to warm up the hubs and me! 🦃
Was going to follow the recipe that was in the Fixate cookbook, but I didn't have some of the ingredients. 😱😱😱
So...I improvised! 😉
In the end, the chili was quite tasty. My hubby liked it so much, he had two helpings of it! 😊
“Get this lame-o off my lawn!”
THE ‘BURBS Original Motion Picture Soundtrack by Jerry Goldsmith is On Sale and Shipping now! This special double LP marks the very first time the complete score has been released on vinyl! 💀
Love having my post-workout smoothie bowls! They have all the good carbs and proteins to help fuel my body after a super-intense sesh! 💪🏻😅
This morning's delicious concoction is chocolate pumpkin oatmeal. 🍫🎃🍚 I added one scoop of chocolate recovery protein powder and one scoop of my chocolate superfoods nutrition shake to 1/4 cup each of cooked oatmeal and pumpkin puree. Mixed it all up, added unsweetened coconut milk beverage to give it more of a pudding consistency, then topped it all with cacao nibs and pumpkin pie spice.
It tasted so decadent! 😊

1. What is Dermaplaning?
Dermaplaning is a gentle, non-invasive form of manual exfoliation of the skin in which an esthetician uses a surgical blade to gently exfoliate the outermost layers of the epidermis to remove dead skin cells and fine facial hair commonly known as “peach fuzz”. The skin will regenerate new skin cells. Even products penetrate the skin better following this treatment. More for your 💰
2. What are the benefits of Dermaplaning?
Regular treatments of dermaplaning have been known to:
Smooth acne scarring
Improve skin texture and tone🧖🏻♀️
Temporarily remove fine facial hair
Generate new healthy cell growth
Enhance penetration of skin care products
3. Will the facial hair grow back thicker?
No. There are two types of hair. Fine facial hair or “peach fuzz” is called vellous hair and is the light colored translucent hair that grows on a woman’s face, chest, or back. The other type of hair is called terminal hair, which is the coarser hair you see on the head, under the arms, brows, and the lower face of men. Hairs are always one or the other and they are not damaged or altered by the process of cutting or removal.
4. Is Dermaplaning safe?
Dermaplaning is an extremely safe, non-traumatic method of skin rejuvenation. There is no more risk than when a man shaves his face. Although unlikely, there is a chance of a small scrape or NICK in the skin.
5. Who is a good candidate for Dermaplaning?
Dermaplaning is safe and effective for all skin types and colors and provides an alternative to chemical peels or microdermabrasion. It is a good choice for anyone who has fine facial hair, extremely sensitive skin, redness or rosacea, or visible facial veins. Dermaplaning cannot be performed in individuals who are using Accutane or blood thinners or who have active shingles, hemophilia, or weak delicate skin.
6. Can Dermaplaning be performed in the same visit as a chemical peel?
A chemical peel done immediately after dermaplaning is an excellent way to make sure that the peel penetrates deeper and more evenly. They go great together and we recommend the combination for optimal results.
7. Is Dermaplaning recommended for acne skin?
If you suffer from ag
