Teotihuacan, I've just about learned to spell it, I still cant pronounce it. But I have now tried it! This one fell a little flat for me, I think because I had really high expectations.
You have some dice on the board and each turn you can move one up to three spaces. When you land the value on your dice, how many other dice and what colours they are matter. If you perform an action the spaces allow you to increase the value of your dice, once they get to 6 they ascend. When they ascend you get the choice of a bonus. Around the board you're getting resources to build the main structure, ascend on temple tracks.
I liked the idea of the dice movement but I just felt a bit bored while playing. I felt like I spent most of the game just trying to keep up with the cocoa demand and not achieving anything. Maybe I was playing really badly 😂? What game disappointed you the most after hearing about it before trying?
