Worms in a tooth!? Nope, not exactly 😷. This is actually how the entire pulp looks like when removed from the tooth. The pulp in this patient was removed from the front tooth. I'm sure y'all are wondering what exactly is a dental pulp. Keep reading cuz I'm about to tell ya. The pulp is the most vital tissue of the tooth and is found in the center of the tooth, underneath the enamel and dentin layer, precisely in the pulp chamber. It holds the soft connective tissue, vascular, lymphatic and nervous elements in other words the blood vessels, connective tissue, and large nerves and because of this combination it looks and feels like soft jelly when removed. It branches out and continues down each root through the canals of the tooth and stops just at the tip of the tooth called the apex. So how does it exactly help the tooth. It provides sensation to the tooth in case of pain from trauma and forms dentin due to trauma and keeps the tooth nourished and moisturized via the blood vessels. Inflammation of the pulp from tooth decay, infection, trauma, and/or other related causes results in a condition known as pulpitis. This is where a root canal treatment comes in. In short it is a dental procedure that is preformed to remove the pulp from the tooth when pulpitis has become irreversible or the pulp is dead. Once removed from the tooth, the pulp will not regenerate inside the tooth, and the tooth becomes dead (non-vital). After the pulp is removed the root canals of the tooth are thoroughly cleaned and will be replaced with a root filling material. Although the tooth has lost its vitality it does not mean that the tooth is lost. It still provides the normal function of chewing and grinding foods but without the sensation and pain elements. Nice lateral exit on this straightforward retreatment case. 🤷🏻♂️
Single visit retx #7 - previously treated / SAP
Bypassed the ledge and obturated with BC sealer.
Irrigation with 6% NaOCl, QMix, PUI and XP-3D Finisher.
Pre-op is from before the sensor upgrade - patient also had crown removed and temporary crown placed before coming in today.
Is it me? Or does the PAR look bigger with the new sensor? 😏
Hungry for a midnight snack? Brushing well may clear your teeth of bacteria and food particles, but if you eat a snack afterward, you'll need to brush again before bed.
Having a snack before sleep (without brushing) can allow food particles and sugar to remain on your teeth for too long, providing fuel for bacteria that feeds on it.
I didn’t always have the brightest smile out there but this stops now! Thanks to @whitewithstyle I can fix that now!

“I am in love with this product for many reasons. I love that I can use it with no side effects no matter how ill my body is. You see, I am a cancer survivor and have undergone numerous surgeries since 2014. No matter how many medications or how unconscious I might be this product is safe. Plus, it is effective. I am forever grateful to have found it.
The medications I have to take make me so sick that I could not brush my teeth with out becoming violently ill. I would gag and throw up every time I tried. Even with other natural toothpastes. My body was held together with hundreds of stitches. Just breathing tiny breathes was terrifying. So uncontrollable convulsing and violent gaging felt like it was going to rip me open.
The SuperNatural Botanica Pearls & Salt Tooth Cream calms down my stomach. Tatiana says this is from the peppermint essential oil in it! Plus it moisturizers my mouth which is wonderful because my medications dry me out.
Part of fighting cancer means that my life can't be as planned out. For example, when I was in a healthy place I had the opportunity to go to the dentist! We found a small cavity and made the appointment to fix it. Unfortunately, I ended up with an emergency surprise surgery and was unable to make the appointment.
Luckily, I started using their tooth cream during this time. (Thankfully) when I went back to the dentist, the cavity was gone! He also said my gums were looking amazing, which were infected when I last visited him & that I had no plaque, which isn't normal for my visits.
He was very happy with the health of my mouth. He knew that I had been really worried and trying to figure out how to take proper care of it with out making myself sick. Of course he asked me what I've been using and I had to tell him!
My kids use it & none of us had a cavity and again the small cavity that I did have is GONE!
This product and company fit my lifestyle and I'm happy to support them! Small business, woman owned, natural, non-toxic, earth friendly, not-animal tested, every ingredient is so thoughtfully resourced and researched to work with the mouth, and it has such an amazing healing property. It's so gentle and feels
