Today called for chest/shoulders/triceps. I’m feeling THICCCC 🤤 I’m starting to notice small striations on my traps and my back is looking a lot thicker than it have ever. Body weight currently sits at 163 🤟🏼 I love it all 🥰

Biggest notice in a week is my upper chest. I’ve never had a big upper chest and here we can see that it’s starting to grow little by little. Changing up my programming from powerlifting to bodybuilding is really helping me grow and my whole dieting to eating 3200-3400 calories is also helping a lot. 🤕Over the last several months, PT has been battling with an impingement limiting his bench press and much of his performance — all while he has been preparing for a powerlifting meet this upcoming weekend. Here is a clip from Episode 7 of the Never Been Stronger podcast, as we talk about overcoming injuries and programming around them.
@ptxpt : “The first time I figured out that I wasn’t able to get my bench press back to normal in a quick period of time, I knew the patience aspect was going to be difficult but I knew I could get numbers back up up if I kept finding ways to get stronger. I knew I have been in the set back stage before as I fractured my wrist and pelvis in high school. Each time during the recovery process, I came back stronger and more motivated. Even though the nerve impingement was frustrating at times, I had a mission to get better and I knew I could because I had been set back before. I give a lot of credit to Dr. Sam, Will, Matt, Joey, and Dan for helping me get back to a solid bench press, just in time for my meet. 👊🦍”

7 days out from weigh-ins and My body weight is sitting extremely well.
Yesterday morning - 184.
Today - 183.5.
I need to weigh in at 181 and I’m going to do so while cutting minimal carbs and water weight. Meal timing has been huge for being able to do this. I attribute much of this ‘cut’ by being extremely aware of my body. I didn’t start stepping on the scale til about 2 weeks ago cause over the years I have noticed how I have felt before and after I eat. Being aware keeps myself in check. So when I need to watch the number on the scale, it’s not an issue.
Whether your compete in something, want to lose weight, or add more muscle, don’t compare yourself to me or anyone else out there on social media. If you get caught up on someone else’s appearance or actions, you’ll never be able to get to the level you can get to. Live your life, work towards your goals, and have a hell of a lot of fun while do so.

Tb to when Frodo was tiny weighing 149 😂 when I look at these pictures, it makes me grind even harder to achieve a similar physique but at a higher body weight. Imma make it happen with the help of @ptxpt deadly programming and @jacked_southard dieting. Jack has helped me widen my knowledge in the dieting world and how to be able to eat big with a small budget 😂✊🏼 We are halfway through the week people. I tweaked my groin about a week ago at work. Trying to hurry up and build the strength back up. The meet is about a month away. Mobility work and stretching have really been helping it. 565 raw and 605 with very light reverse bands today. Prior to NBS
I started weight training when was 14 years old. Mainly I did it because I wanted to be the best athlete version of myself for whichever sport I was playing. Honestly, I wanted to be an all-state football player on a great team. That did not quite happen but that is part of learning and growing.
I started training in my garage with random weights. It was definitely not safe to say the least. Then when I got my license, I would train at the local YMCA, the Football weight room, and the late Pete’s Gym. While seeing results through early mornings and hard work with friends and teammates, I knew I wanted to be a personal trainer before I graduated high school.
Fast forward several years and I am fortunate to live the career I always planned to do. It was a dream when I was younger to train people in person and online but it was something I knew would happen as I got older. Then as I met more influential mentors of mine, it has allowed me to expand outside of personal training.
In summary, I’m just a dude from Roseville, IL that couldn’t stay out of the weight room 🤷🏻♂️🌽🦍

Deadlifts are feeling very good. 12 weeks out from my next meet I am really focusing on positioning and volume. First video is 405 for 8 on Monday and the second video is speed deadlifts from this morning. Top set was 275 plus band tension. Todsy was the first time taking 300+ to the chest in almost 5 months. Nearly half a year without doing a weight that I use to do any day of the week. Finding ways to make it work and always looking on the positive side of things has been key to not allowing myself to get frustrated even on the worst of bench days. #NeverBeenStronger

Good morning of lifting with the 4 am crew. The focus of today was on volume. I worked up to sets of 10 on squat followed by RDL’s, leg extensions, leg curls, reverse hypers, and capped it off with lunges.
@ptxpt and @ironwillpowerlifting both came in with big lifts as they are getting close to their meets.
I always talk about having a date on the calendar. Something to work towards so when you walk in the gym their is a sense of urgency and purpose. My next meet will be January 26th at the @jbbosspartyontheplatform These guys know lifting and it is going to be one hell of a time.

Deads feel better and I still got some hops 🐰 — Did high box jumps after deadlifts today. Worked up to a super fast 500 for 1 on deadlifts and 570 on rack pulls. Wanted to do a tap and go, after the fact I felt like I coulda hit the rep but I definitely lost tightness. Deadlifts just haven’t felt the greatest so I have not been pushing the barriers. The strength is there, my body just isn’t moving comfortably at the moment in time. I see and hear a lot of younger lifters or beginners in training get so impatient with progress or get so down because one or two training sessions were bad. Our bodies and minds are so strong that a majority of the time, we don’t even realize what we are doing to them. So when you have a couple bad workouts, it is not the end of the world. Most of the the stuff seen on social media is only the good and that’s not reality. Many lifters, athletes, or daily gym goers may take years or decades to get to were they are now. So don’t judge yourself based off another person. Keep working and don’t let your head get down, ever. I have been training since I was 14 (12 years) and I learn new things I can improve on everyday. #NeverBeenStronger#TeamFranklin -
