Yes, I've not posted on Instagram in quite a while, but I just got back from the most incredible trip to Switzerland! I must share photos. For two weeks I traveled around Switzerland and loved every moment.
I was staying at a hotel in Interlaken for a couple of days, but since it was cloudy, I started checking the forecast for other nearby areas. Clearer skies could be only a train ride or two away. Not only did the forecast look better toward the east, it seemed brighter when looking toward the opposite end of Lake Brienz. Within a few minutes, I was racing down the street to catch the next train to Meiringen. With a two week Swiss Rail Pass, there were no individual tickets to buy, it made train travel a breeze! From there, I rode another train and then a bus to Handegg. Before arriving, I knew I made the right decision, clouds were definitely thinning. Part of the fun of visiting Gelmersee was riding the Gelmerbahn up to the lake. I had seen videos, but you can't really get a true feeling of just how steep the track is until you are actually on it. Gelmersee was beautiful! Although I didn't hike it all, a trail does go completely around the lake.
The drum scanner is not only for slides and negatives. I made this scan from a paper print. I had to produce from a 9x13 cm print a 2x3 meter template for an exhibition. The picture shows the "Lötschenlücke", the transition from the Valais to the Bernese Oberland. Soon the Lötschental transforms into a paradise with unbelievable colours. #drumscan#highendscan#highendscan_veraguth
September has proven to be an incredible month so far. Everything is flowing. I've gone on two trips with two dear friends and I'm hosting my best friend from exchange this weekend. I feel like I have so much to look forward to-- I'm almost pinching myself. Loving life right now.
