THIS SUNDAY: FaUSt and Castle If @ Jam Factory, 9 PM 📣
Castle If opens for German kosmische musik legends FaUSt this Sunday at Jam Factory. The local synth phenom will be playing material off their upcoming LP Sector 03, which we can’t wait to hear. And you just don’t get many chances in life to see FaUSt, now a duo of founding members Werner Diermaier and Jean-Hervé Péron (hence the stylized name-tweak). This incredible show came together as a joint effort between @wavelengthmusic, Burn Down the Capital & Goethe-Institut Toronto. 🎹🎚🎤📡 Tickets for this show are $32 in advance, and can be picked up at @circusbooksandmusic, @soundscapesto and @rotatethis. Doors open at 9, synth phenomenalism shortly thereafter.
Wonder Lofts coming late Summer 2018!
The story of the old Weston Bakery at 462 Eastern ave. starts in 1919 when it was the Brown's Bread Ltd. building - a Leslieville waypoint designed by Sydney Comber. After which it was the Inter City Baking Co. and additional sections were built on in the 1970's to accommodate the growing business. Then it was the Weston Bakery which closed its doors in 2014.
Fast-forward to present date and Graywood/Alterra have big plans for a stunning new loft/condo conversion project. The new Architects Diamond+Schmitt will retain much of the old building while adding thoughtfully designed stories to the building. Unique and cool comes to mind with every new building rendering the Developer releases. This historic conversion featuring studios,1 beds, 2 beds, 3 beds and townhomes is sure to be a huge hit in the Studio District neighbourhood.
