I saw that @Exclu were asking toy photographers to submit their Top 3 toy photos of the year to them for a feature on their website and so I decided I would do my own version. Or at least something similar.
First up, my absolute favourite photo of the year is the Sheriff Hopper portrait I dubbed "Dusk in Hawkins". I actually took this one in the middle of the day in glorious sunshine and lit a sparkler I planted in the dirt behind him. This is actually the same location as my Winter Soldier shot that proved popular round about this time last year.
2nd is "Grass Trooper" featuring my custom weathered clone, Sgt. Krieger. This was taken in the spur of the moment at the local park and I had to get the angle Just Right to avoid any houses in the background.
3rd I have chosen 'Death on Scarif'. This photo is one of a massive set @eleventoyphotography and @astertoyphotography took having built a sweet trench on Prestatyn beach back in August. That was a lot of fun, you can believe me!
4th: "Royal Rebel". This shot was simply showcasing my custom Leia made from the Black Series ANH Princess Leia and the Black Series Jyn Erso. Fun fact: when I boiled and popped Leia's head off, I managed to completely mangle the ANH body's neck peg thus rendering it useless. Now I have a Jyn head floating around without a body so I'll have to buy another at some point.
5th: Last but by no means least is "Gordon of Gotham" featuring the amazing looking BtAS Commissioner Gordon. I took this down the back of the train station in town on a Sunday morning and turned around to find a group of very confused old folks watching me.
humbled by a #YouKnowYouveArrivedWhen moment thanks to Bryan Cioffi @bctoys1. Bryan makes killer custom toys and came up with this hilarious Leav-fett. After sculpting over 400 figures in 15 years, I can't say anyone's ever made such a cool toy of me. Feel free to contact Bryan @bctoys1 RE custom commissions.
Thank you Bryan. I will cherish this forever. It will live where it belongs, on a wall between my vintage action figures & shop table where new action figures are made.
