Yeyea. Also got another N64 game and two Dreamcast games coming my way. If I get paid from eBay soon I’ll have another two Dreamcast games coming before I go back to school. Fingers crossed.
64 Reviews - Proof that a game can be both amazing and frustratingly horrible, Star Wars Shadows of the Empire walks that line in astounding fashion. Banished to Disney’s galaxy of non-canon, SotE follows the adventures of Kevin Costner...wait, sorry Dash Rendar(seriously, look it up. He looks just like him). A mercenary helping Luke and Leia avoid the clutches of Prince Xizor. The first level is absolutely amazing as it has you piloting a snowspeeder through the battle of Hoth. The sound effects and music are so perfect you’ll bust a lightsaber. And then you play the rest of the game...like I said, this game is half amazing. While a decent portion of the campaign is a thrilling spaceship sim, the majority of the game is a horrifyingly bad third person shooter. Also one section where you ride a hover bike into walls...so many walls. When I revisit this game, I mostly just play the first level, for who wouldn’t want to begin and end on a high note. I would recommend this game to any Star Wars fan, but only to N64 owners looking to complete their collection. This is a rare case where finding the balance did not work. #starwars#n64#nintendo#nintendo64#starwarsshadowsoftheempire#videogames#retro#retrogaming
