After plenty of steps 🏃♀️🏃♂️ in today, @goodtree_badtree jim and I still decided to get additional steps 🏃♂️🏃♀️ in by walking from the farmers market to @blazepizza in Davis. .
#whatsfordinner was a gluten free soy free pizza with olive oil, scratch the red sauce add as many veggies as possible and hold the cheese on my half of the #pie . .
Being that I watch so many health lectures, I've learned how and what works for my microbiome over the past 16 years. .
Follow me and pick up tips that may help you on your healing journey 💪. But remember, every human body has trillions of cells and we all are of course different. .
So eat according to your issues. Pay close attention now or your body will scream later ( inflammation, disease, etc.). If I healed my cells, then you can too. .

I have recently discovered these little squares from @joyfueluk .. made fresh unlike other bars. Every square made is cold-pressed in small batches, vegan, gluten free, sulphite free, soy free, wheat free.. the list goes on but they are certainly far from flavour free. With the “Very Berry” being a personal favourite of mine I would highly recommended giving them a try. They fit nicely into your handbag for snacking on the go and have been a regular in my ballet bag for after dance sustenance. #dinner hit the spot tonight! I have been wanting pancakes for awhile now. This paleo mix was great!! Here is my sons plate. I starting digging in before I got a pic. Definitely not my choice for turkey bacon. I forgot to buy my favorite brand at Costco. This was the only clean version I found at our local grocery store. So happy that I satisfied my breakfast craving!!!
I’m happy to find Gochujang (Korean chili paste) at @wholefoods and try it. Always excited to attempt new condiment and in this case, Gochujang made in USA! interesting! 😀

Three months ago we found my blood sugar level was 51 with eating. Two months ago I had my monitor removed from my arm where it was also discovered that my average daily blood sugar never touched 75 and would drop as low as 58 on AVERAGE. My Endocrinologist came to the conclusion that my autoimmune disease was the cause.
I told my doctor that I didn’t want to talk medicine. I want this to get better and I want to reverse the symptoms of my disease. We talked about the diet I was beginning and he very kindly listened. He then smiled at me and gave me a side hug. He told me he believed in me, that I was smart, and I could do it. He also told me to get my weight down, monitor my blood sugar, and come see him again if it continues like it had. And go to the hospital when it nears 50 😆
Today I’m celebrating the small victories, because though I don’t show it, I get discouraged. I get too anxious sometimes and I tend to get ahead of myself. I’ve been tired and my body aches and other annoying things have been consistent. I wonder, am I getting anywhere???? Yes I am ❤️ this is before I ate my late dinner. BEFORE! I’ve been feeling a difference but have not been monitoring my blood sugar. I thought I’d check it out and was pleasantly surprised 😁

Fried Rice is one of our favorite ways to use up leftover rice. I admit that I purposefully make too much rice sometimes just so that we can make fried rice the next day. Fried rice works best with at least 1 day old rice because that rice is usually drier and less sticky, perfect for frying. Watch in stories to see how to make it and my secret to scrambling the eggs.
•16 oz package peas, carrots medley (or variety of your choice)
•3 cups day old rice (or leftover rice)
•1 cup ham, chopped (or leftover chicken)
•4-6 eggs, whisked
•2 tbsp sesame oil
•2-3 tbsp coconut aminos (or soy sauce)
•2 cloves garlic, minced or 1 tsp jarred garlic
•3 shakes of Lawry’s Seasoning Salt (or to taste)
•3-4 green chives, thinly sliced
Add 1 cup water to Instant Pot. Place veggies in steamer basket and cook in the Instant Pot for 0 min on LOW with quick release.
While veggies steam, add sesame oil and rice in a large wok or frying pan on high heat on the stove. Stir to evenly dispute oil. Add coconut aminos (soy sauce), ham, garlic and Lawry’s seasoning salt.
When rice is hot, create a hole in the middle of the rice in the pan. Add whisked eggs into the hole and carefully scramble the eggs inside the hole. Once fully cooked, stir everything together in pan.
You’ll notice the rice is frying on the bottom sides (this is good and comes from allowing the rice to sit and fry). Don’t be tempted to fluff the rice too often, which prevents that delicious fried edges/taste. Turn heat to med-low until veggies are done. .
When veggies are done, add them to the rice and fry for another 2-3 minutes. Serve with green onions on top.
Enjoying the cooler weather by grilling some burgers with my favorite burger recipe using 1 lb grass fed ground beef, 1 tsp @primalpalate Jerk Seasoning, 1/2 tsp New Bae Seasoning, 1/8 tsp cinnamon, 1/2 can @muirglen Fire Roasted Tomatoes, 1 tbsp @ottos_cassava_flour Cassava Flour and 1 egg. 🍔🍟🌱 #grillgrind#mikeysmuffins#paleobread
"I don't have time for breakfast" have you been guilty of it? I know I have! This morning's breakfast of scrambled eggs with spinach and a banana and chia smoothie that took 7 minutes.... 7 minutes.... we all have time for breakfast!
If you want a light and delicious fish recipe, this Herb Braised Fish with Capers is for you. The combination of herbs, wine and chicken broth flavor the tilapia as it cooks then the capers help flavor the sauce. It’s outstanding. I especially love it with mashed squash, which soaks up all the yummy sauce.
Served warm or raw, this makes for a great side dish 🍚
-1 tbsp Extra Virgin Olive Oil
-1 Garlic Clove minced
-1 Lemon / Lime
-1 tsp Salt
-1 tbsp Parsley
—Cut up cauliflower into pieces and transfer to food processor. Don’t fill the processor more than 3/4 full; if necessary process in 2 batches
—Add garlic and lemon
—Process the cauliflower in 1-second pulses until it has completely broken down into rice-sized granules
—Warm olive oil or butter in a skillet over medium heat
—Stir in the cauliflower rice and season with some salt
—Cover the skillet and cook for 10 minutes or until the rice is as tender as you like
—Mix in some parsley and add more lemon or salt if needed —Use or serve immediately, or refrigerate for up to a week.
——Cauliflower rice can be used warm, raw, tossed into a salad, or in a cold side dish
