Surely Kerala is god’s own country. What a place to be, so green, it feels like so fresh and beautiful. Very nice people and nice food. We are staying in The Wayside Cottage it is 12kms before Munnar. We didn’t want to stay in Munnar because it is too crowded and this place is so nice, quiet and blissful.
We are talking one day break from riding bikes so staying here in Munnar and explored some places shared by our hotel manager. His name is Aditya and he so kind, helpful, polite and happy all the time. Whenever he talks he is like always smiling, so respectful person. He is talking care of his own property and make food with his wife for guests which means you can have typical Kerala home made dishes.
I woke up at 7:00AM and it was so fresh when I went out of my treehouse balcony. Yeah! I am living in a treehouse so happy it’s a different kind of experience. It keeps shaking.
Back to the point. Aditya made a map on paper of nearby places to visit. We left from hotel at 10:00AM to explore Munnar. We went to attukad waterfall, Dams, did paddle boating, trekking and saw so many tea gardens. These places are so beautiful. As long as it gets darker it gets colder. It is so nice to be here. We roam around in Munnar & nearby places then came back to hotel at 7:00PM. It need weeks to explore more areas.

yes, we really do make everything in-house. We take the garnishes for every dish very seriously. They are the punctuation and the counterfoil. That little unexpected ‘pow’ from the sweet pomegranate seed or the crunch of @maldonsalt1882 or sliver of red chilli. Sorry we’re obsessed... #southindianfood#notyouraveragecurryhouse#cheflife#vegan#foodgeek
Woke up this morning craving an authentic curry.
Appalam Pattani Kurma aka Peas Papad Curry. Recipe in the comments.
Indian food has a plethora of curries and each one uniquely special. This is an easy and simple South Indian style green peas curry with papad.
This spicy Dry Green Peas Curry is made with sprouted dry green peas (a staple in Indian kitchens), onion, tomatoes, spices and papad. A vegan, soy-free, nut-free, gluten-free recipe.
Sadly, I forgot to soak the green peas, so my craving soul has to wait till tomorrow:). But, a recipe is on the comment section for all of you.
