Being #GlutenFree and #DairyFree can be quite hard sometimes. I eat mostly fresh fruits, veggies, and unprocessed meats in order to avoid cross contamination and obtain the nutritional value that I need to be healthy. Last night, my family and I celebrated my birthday a little early and went to @bellanottelexky in Lexington. Most restaurants have about 3 gluten free options if any, but Bella Notte has over 20, and sometimes, they can modify the items on the full menu to be gluten free, too! Last night, mom and I got a gluten free noodle with #Scallops and Arbiotta sauce, as well as their #Blackberry and #Pineapple#Sorbet , and it was the best allergen friendly meal I have ever had at a restaurant. I never get to try new things because of my allergies, but this was such a super special treat! Thank you so much Bella Notte for making my early birthday so super special!!!! Went to @narberthfoodfestival today, it’s one of my favourite events of the year and this year yet again did not disappoint! 💫
Started off with sorbet from @sorbetnarberth and it was delicious as usual. All their sorbets are vegan and they sometimes have vegan gelato but not today, so I had half and half raspberry and black currant sorbets and in the second photo is my sister’s which was mango passion fruit and black currant. The black currant has won a great taste award and I can see why - it’s delicious and tastes like proper black currants, not just flavoured. Also they’ve switched to biodegradable plant- based plastic spoons which I’m so pleased about, the last time I posted their sorbet I mentioned in the caption that I hoped they’d switch to biodegradable ones and they have. I’m so pleased!! Also good to see that there were still plenty of customers getting ice cream despite the fact that it was freezing cold and raining constantly, it’s always ice cream weather. 🌱✨
