Mother Goose is off exploring her last continent and Pops is on a solo road trip to Florida. So, I get to hang with the grandparents alllll week and play in the snow at the cottage!! Oh and I like to drive Uncle Diego insane.
So travelling is all about moving from one point in space to another, and travelling by roads adds some amount of excitement to it when the perspective of geography is introduced. I recently came across a YouTube video of a popular Indian mystic who explained a particular concept in a very interesting manner: On being asked if he is excited about time travel and which point in time would he choose if he had the option, his answer was moving from one point to another, be it in space or time, doesn’t excite him anymore. Here and now are way more exciting for him after spending enough time on the road.
Although it’s a concept that we, who like to travel, can grasp somewhat, we definitely don’t relate to it yet and continue to venture out time and again, whenever we get a chance.
Until we reach that state of mind where here and now become more important than the mountain, the desert, the sea where we could be and look forward to being at, I guess we will keep travelling and absorbing all that we get to see on the road.
The tail at Ship Rock.
Someone asked what music I’ve been listening to while on the road. Well I’ve listened to none, I’ve wanted only silence or to listen to the thoughts and music in my head. Then outside I wanted only the sound of the wind, the trees and the birds x
This Venus Retrograde or whatever is occuring in the cosmos has had me waking the fuck up, shedding layers, and jumping into the unknown. 💫
For those who don’t know, I have left KC. What is left of my belongings is packed up in my Subaru and I’m headed out to travel solo and rediscover myself. I don’t have any time frames. I don’t have any plans. And it feels so damn freeing, but also terrifying. ✨
I’m usually an open book, but I need some time for introspection. I’m sitting face to face with my shadows, deep in the void, and I need time there. I feel whole yet so broken. I feel excited yet fearful. I feel so sure yet questioning my decisions. I’m trying to find balance & gratitude within the duality. 🖤
I need time to journal and to clear the cobwebs. I need to fully experience the beauty within the joy, pain, Love, numbness, vivacity, and the feelings in between. ✨
I will temporarily be closing my online shop as I set out on my Journey of Rediscovery. I stocked up my KC retailers before I left, so you can still get some Witch Bitch Lovin’ at @opalandgold @oraclekc @skinkc & @peppermintseastudio 💜
I’ll keep you all updated when my studio is set up and my shop is open again. Until then, I’m sending all of my Love to my friends who have become family and allowed me into their homes during this transition, my family who has supported me and Loved me through all of my spontaneous Gemini moves, and customers who have supported me, became friends, and shared their healing journey with me. Your Love radiates, inspires me daily, and will be with me always. 🙏🏻 Also, shoutout to soft studios for this reminder that will be in my car on my journey. 🚗
Publishing stream of consciousness blog posts without editing freaks me out, but I’m feeling called to share this adventure with you so I don’t question it. Part two: Sand Dunes + the road to Santa Fe is up for your reading pleasure with way more photos of these magnificent mountains of mutilated rock. Wandering and climbing and running and laying alone granted me a freedom to behave like a delighted child, constantly in awe of the world around me, consistently grateful for the people I met along the way. I’m trying to keep that lightness in my heart, even among my more grown up pressures. Even when the material world stresses me out. Because it’s still a wonder we’re still alive. ::
Day 2&3 📍Port Augusta&Coffin Bay
Oh my god. These places are so full of scenic views. 7 hours away from Adelaide but definitely worth the trip ❤️ Delicious wines and seafood! Especially the Coffin Bay oysters! Every seafood lovers’ paradise! @coffinbayoysterfarmtours
Port Lincoln I’m coming for ya 👊🏽
“She’s real, she’s deep, she’s logical and mystical. She believes in kindness and oneness and romance and magic. She’s sensitive and distant, a warrior, a lover. She believes in road trips to the stars and dancing with the universe. She’s fearless and gentle, wondrous and brave. She lives in waterfalls and forest and sunsets and galaxies. She’s the Artist, the thinker, the poem and the dream.” - Creig Crippen
I have sooo many beautiful, strong, courageous, intelligent, hilarious friends. However, I'm constantly having to remind them of their amazing attributes. Why is it so unnatural to express self-love? Are we afraid of seeming egotistical? Does peeling back our layers make us feel too vulnerable? Are we afraid of the unbreakable, unstoppable, unrelenting, unyielding love that only we (and God) can provide?
This year I've been on a journey to fall (back) in love... with myself 😉 And in that spirit, and in hoping it reminds others to declare their love (for themselves), I'm dedicating #wcw to myself. #iamshe ...the best crush this girl could have!

I had the best day ever today!! Went on a spontaneous trip to the historic Romney Manor and visited the famous Caribelle Batik. I bought the most beautiful hand-dyed batik sarong and a batik scrunchie! Batik is a “process that uses molten wax to resist dye penetration by each successive color by applying molten max.” A few years ago I would have never went on the spontaneous adventure by myself with no GPS. I just decided to drive around until I found it and had to ask a few locals along the way 😊 It takes courage to do things by yourself- let alone in a country I have only lived in for 7 months! Thanking God for the opportunities I have been given 😍👙🦋
Good coffee & good company. This is a city I want to revisit. (Mostly for the 🥐) ✨ Big thanks to @choerauf & @lschneiderphoto for letting me rummage their bookshelf and smother their kitties.
Sometimes we forget how small we are and how we’re just a blip in this world and universe, and seeing these arches that were carved over thousands years, perhaps even millions of years, and how small I was compared to those...it makes you think 🙃
I started out my morning yesterday at 4:30am with my #pumkinspice#ketokreme coffee and of course #ketomax for later in the day and while driving through Quesnel and passing by Francois lake haha, I reached the porpoise of my #soloroadtrip the reason for the smile you can’t smack off my face and the life long conversation of a car that got away! It’s finally right where it need to be ready to rise again like a phoenix the best part was the more we looked at the more we realized who structurally sound the car is aside from some of the sheet metal we don’t have already that came with the car the lines on it are impeccable. And even though I thought he might cry @sodaalberta was the only one who guessed his words perfectly..... all he said was what the f$&@! Did you do and that plus the fact he couldn’t take his eyes off it for a moment I knew he was very happy with it which in the end is all I want and the chance to help of course. I already love his idea for the paint.... murdered gloss black with gold race stripes now that is gonna be sexy AF!! Let the reckoning begin! #chevelle#chevelle350#71chevelle#resto#chev#payitforward#pruvit#ketomax#ketokremeinmycoffee#family#dreams#goals#fatherandson I do also want to thank Jim Simonelli the gentleman I bought the car from actually didn’t know for sure if he wanted to sell it, he had actually bought it for his dad as well but his dad insisted on a Camaro but in telling him my dads story he made me a deal I just couldn’t pass up his only stipulation was when it’s done he love ride in it as well as progress pictures so again Jim I thank you, it’s because of you I was able to put that smile on my Dad’s face!! #respect ✊
This is at John Kyle State Park in Sardis, MS and that is the Lower Lake of Lake Sardis.
I camped right next to this lake on my way to Memphis last weekend. I pitched the tent close to midnight and it was below freezing but I really loved it. And after waking up to this, I totally forgot about all the hard work from previous night.
That morning I walked up to the lake to watch the sun still trying to wake up... I almost didn’t notice those cute ducks in the picture until they quacked 😍 coz they were all coming from somewhere else... but I’m glad they said hi! 😅
As I was letting the views sink in, the sun slowly warmed up the place... I never loved sun so much except this other time when I backpacked... 😅 but overall, I’m so glad I decided to have this park as my pit stop!
“Even though I took short trips to visit family as a kid, and studied abroad in Belize during college, I only started getting serious about traveling after I graduated, just 6 months ago. I took a cross-country road trip from Florida to California, to see much of the United States for the very first time, and it has changed my life forever ✨
To me, travel is the easiest way to escape from the pressures of modern society. It’s very freeing, being out there on your own. Like there’s nothing else in the world besides you and the nature surrounding you 🍃
It helped me to find myself. I learned more about who I am and what I want. I was able to narrow my sights on my passion, my future career. After visiting national parks like Rocky Mountain, Grand Teton, Yellowstone, and Redwood, it was easy for me to realize that I would love to become a natural resource manager for a national park 🏔
Ever since I returned from my trip, I think about travel and adventuring constantly. An insatiable wanderlust. I take every opportunity I can to get outside and explore new scenery… forests, mountains, water, anything! I want to cover as much ground as possible on this planet, near and far 🌎
To me, being the hero of my own life means allowing myself to experience as many of life’s natural treasures as I possibly can 🌞”
