Another lunchtime spent at @subway ! I feel like a spokesperson for them I eat here so much! But in a rural area such as mine this is one of the only places I can eat a #healthylunch and I am grateful to have this restaurant here! My lunch is a steak and cheese sub with apples and unsweet tea. The sub is 380 calories and I added 20 calories of lite mayo (I always have them give me 1 swipe of mayo only so they don’t drown my sub in it!) I had them only put one piece of cheese instead of two on it. Cheese is 25 calories a piece. So when you subtract the 25 (from one less piece of cheese) from 380 you get 355. Add the 20 for the mayo and you’re back to 375. 35 calories for apples and 0 for unsweet tea and I am having a 410 calorie lunch! That’s right where I like to be! As always I can see the McDonald’s across the street from this subway and I am so proud of myself for making the healthy decision to eat here! Tracking calories is a guarantee way to lose weight. I eat 1,600 calories a day and I always make sure to put 1,600 QUALITY calories in my body. Undressed fruits and veggies, lots of chicken and fish with low cal sauces (or no sauce) and healthy grains. Right now I am obsessed with black rice, orzo, wild rice and quinoa. I have some great recipes for preparing each grain that adds flavor but not extra calories that I will share with you! Tonight I am also going to post my stats (weight/height/BMI) and tell everyone how I came up with 1,600 as my calorie amount to eat. I didn’t hire a nutritionist or dietician. I researched and came up with it on my own. And it’s working! Even if you aren’t actively altering your diet right now but just reading things like this post then pat yourself on the back and congratulate yourself!! If you are reading this then you are at least in the planning stage of taking control of your health and that is a big step and a big deal!!!!!! You are on your way!!!! Sending you love and light!! I hope you had a nice day so far. I am quite productive. Not as productive as when I am in my flat. Now that I am with my parents currently I am doing quite a lot during the day so I don't have that much time. But the most important thing is that I enjoy my time here AND study. And then when I go back to my own flat next week, I will only study because my exams are right around the corner so I have to say goodbye to free time.
So I really enjoy it that I am currently not under that much pressure.
