We are very proud of this humble athlete, Sam Egerton aka @challenge.junkie. He deserves a big shout out for his amazing achievements. Sam had train with Pure North and also use to be one of our regular coaches. .
He has many experiences in various adventure and endurance races. One of his biggest achievements is to have gotten the first Perfect Delta from @spartanrace by an APAC-based athlete. This is the hardest Delta to achieve. And no, Sam is not a full time athlete. He has a very busy day job just like everybody else. But his passion and focus on what he set his mind for is impeccable.
Sam has been with Pure North since the beginning and we are thrilled that he is able to conduct a session with Pure North again on Tuesday, 25 Sep 2018. Day 2 of Mania has been so fun! It was especially an honor to meet Sgt. Ken, our keynote speaker, and try one of his Crew Conditioning workouts. I only did half the workout before baby Beckham needed me (thank God 😂).

💪🏼OCR FIT (intermediate) - Conquering obstacle course races requires more than stamina and endurance. You may have the aerobic capacity to endure the distance but that's only the start. Developing the skills and strengthening the muscles are just as vital. Therefore Pure North welcomes you to join us for a circuit-based session that will develop the skills more efficiently and strengthen your body (core, lower body, upper body) to conquer your next obstacle race! Be prepared to get close to the ground, get used to carrying loads and be ready to pull beyond your limits!
🤗 Who is it for?
For those who are into obstacle racing like Spartan Races. Individuals who are new to obstacle races are also welcome, however, you should be comfortable with the 7 primal movements mentioned below and also able to cover mid-long distance running (5km, 10km etc).
7 primal movements:
squat - eg. Front squat
lunge - eg. forward or backward lunges
push - eg. push ups
pull - eg. Single arm dumbbell row
twist - eg. Russian twist
bend - eg. Kettlebell deadlift, DB clean and press
gait/combination - eg. walking, jogging, running .
