Self discipline. Self motivation. Something I've struggled with my entire life. Hoping that someone would push me, force me to be the best me. Only I can do that. It starts with the mental. Strength strength strength. #thanksmom#needingthis#selfdependence#actlikeyouwantit
Fast and slow: two ways of thinking.
But... In my humble opinion theres more ways.
I’m calling system 3 - that is high speed, is the linear intuition that you can reach just through MEDITATION.
This is E.E. Cummings’ reply to a letter from a high-school editor asking how to become a poet. “A poet is somebody who feels, and who expresses his feeling through words.
This may sound easy. It isn’t.
A lot of people think or believe or know they feel-but that’s thinking or believing or knowing; not feeling. And poetry is feeling-not knowing or believing or thinking.
Almost anybody can learn to think or believe or know, but not a single human being can be taught to feel. Why? Because whenever you think or you believe or you know, you’re a lot of other people: but the moment you feel, you’re nobody-but-yourself.
To be nobody-but-yourself-in a world which is doing its best, night and day, to make you everybody else-means to fight the hardest battle which any human being can fight; and never stop fighting.
As for expressing nobody-but-yourself in words, that means working just a little harder than anybody who isn’t a poet can possibly imagine. Why? Because nothing is quite as easy as using words like somebody else. We all of us do exactly this nearly all of the time-and whenever we do it, we’re not poets.
If, at the end of your first ten or fifteen years of fighting and working and feeling, you find you’ve written one line of one poem, you’ll be very lucky indeed.
And so my advice to all young people who wish to become poets is: do something easy, like learning how to blow up the world-unless you’re not only willing, but glad, to feel and work and fight till you die.
Does this sound dismal? It isn’t.
It’s the most wonderful life on earth.
Or so I feel.”
from the October 26th, 1955 edition of the Ottawa Hills High School Spectator (Grand Rapids, Michigan).
Life is always evolving. If you like it or not, if you choose or not… change is gone come. The question is: will you be an agent of change or will be just a consequence of it? It’s up to you… no-one else. A vida está sempre evoluindo. Se você gosta ou não, se você escolher ou não ... a mudança se foi. A questão é: você será um agente de mudança ou será apenas uma conseqüência disso? Cabe a você ... ninguém mais.

The Site School by the Edifice Foundation is an initiative to educate out-of-school children of migrant construction workers. The initiative aims helping these children – unable to attend and assimilate in regular schools – develop the required competencies and capabilities required for enrolment and retention in the mainstream education system.
Started in 2013 in Bengaluru, Site Schools are being run at labour colonies of the construction sites of projects that Edifice is providing design consultancy for – our hope is to help enable a better way of life not just for the direct beneficiaries of each project, but of each participant in the process.
I know life is not a fairy tale, but in my opinion it should be.
I am not talking about fantasy, but about real life, realistic happiness. Yes, fairy tales always have villains, there is always suffering and injustice. But there is something in the fairy tales that enchants us, which is a PURPOSE, a quest for an extraordinary life.
The stories and the myths show us that living hurts, but it is worth it, that happiness does not immunize us from the mishaps of life, that we are sad sometimes, but that in spite of everything ALWAYS there is something more for what is worth dedicate yourself. I refuse to conform to what is put as a relationship, friendship, business and any relationship between people.
I believe, perhaps naively, that one can learn not only through pain, but through love as well. Seriously, want to have a fairy-tale life, which good always triumphs, where beauty always wins and where you can expect to be happy forever and ever. I know it's not like this, I've heard it since I was little. Nor do I expect that I can significantly change the world around me.
But surely I will not give up, until my last breath.
SO, WE GO ON!
Happy independence day
But are we actually independent ?? Or is it all a myth ??? Or just a misconception? Or a lie??? What comes to your mind when you think of independence? Do you think of corrupt politicians ? Or rude officers ? Or being the rape capital of the world?
Independence for us is our thoughts. If our thoughts are free to fly we definately will have the wings of success. More or less we need "self-dependence" rather than "independence" . Independence word is a misnomer for me cuz i dont think being independent is that important. Being self dependent is the key to the thousand locks we tired of trying to open.
So its you who can decide what to do. Its you can decide what has to happen. Its you who can decide what will happen. So start thinking of it . Start working on it and if needed start fighting for it. Because its YOU who can make INDIA truly "INDEPENDENT"

I'm so grateful for having had the opportunity to practice Ashtanga this week with Dena Kingsberg, the world's most senior female Ashtanga teacher. I'm still reeling from the experience, and absorbing *all of it*. For a whole week we soaked up Dena's wisdom, insight and love for the practice. I'm still thinking about her first question -"why do we practice yoga?" Something I ask myself on a daily basis as I roll out my mat. We all come to yoga for different reasons, but most likely we stay with the practice for one common reason = FREEDOM = in the sense that over time and with dedicated effort, we can strip away the layers of our being. We can shed the unnecessary shackles and beliefs, our bondages, and break free from the repetitive cycles we build into our psyches. If we stop for long enough to listen quietly we may hear a different story. Stripped back, naked to the core we get to know our real selves, completely and without judgement or apology.
I have put many of Dena's teachings "in my pocket" (Dena's words!) and will return to them again and again. Thank you Dena for teaching us and and Karen and everyone at Meadowlark for making it all possible. It was an amazing week!
Thanks too to my ever patient family for doing ALL the things while I was away, and holding the fort. 😍

In the Aristotelian ethics (see, for example, Book IV of Nicomachean Ethics), frônese (from ancient Greek: φρόνησις, translit. Phronesis) is distinguished from other words with which wisdom is designated as the virtue of thought practically translated as practical wisdom.
