Being on this roadtrip has, at times, been challenging. Day after day, hearing stories about abuse, sexual harrassment, crippling low self-worth, controling relationships, poverty, and more, has taken its toll. But I am grateful to be in this beautiful country, and with less than 2 weeks to go, I'm so proud of our huge impact. The girls who have cried and hugged us at the end of our workshop, because noone has spoken to them about self-worth since grade 5. The girls who have realised they have the power to fight back. The 'aha' moments when girls realise double-standards are there to be challenged. The thousands of girls who know they actually can get rid of their fears, and achieve their goals. There's a ton of work to do, but I'm feeling proud, hopeful & determined. And in need of a big glass of wine 🍷
The namesake of one of our 5 day Top End safaris: the Jabiru!
Also known as the black necked stork, this black and white bird can be found in wetlands across the Top End.

Nope, you're not dreaming - these Hill Inlet views are for real! 💦 As @_markfitz describes it, our #CruiseWhitsundays boat "drops you at one of the sandbars below and you then take the short walk up to the lookout for these incredible views!" 📷: @_markfitz
🇦🇺 It’s such a beautiful day over in Kurrimine National park. Located in Queensland, it boasts some truly wonderful views and lush landscapes stretching for miles! Why not explore the state a bit more and head towards mission beach located just a short drive away 🏖 @rowansims
🌅 Cable Beach - Broome W.A. 🌅
Probably the most famous beach on the west coast, Cable Beach in Broome does not disappoint. We spent two lovely nights watching the sun set into the ocean here, but I honestly could have sat here every night of my life and not grown tired of it.
I snapped the second photo just as the kids hopped out of the car and they were just screaming, “The Beach! The beach! Oh how we missed you! A beach we can swim in! Yay!” And they ran straight for the surf and waded in clothes and all 😂. There are heaps of tourists, but the beach is so wide and long that you can easily find your own special spot ⛱. The first night, we drove onto the beach which was amazing, and for the second night we just chilled out in between the flags while the kids built sandcastles and had a little paddle.
Clear water, a clean beach and ridiculous sunsets meant we were as happy as clams. If we didn’t have to rush off for Brian’s work, we would have stayed at least a week.
Well this outfit might not have gone to plan 😂
I was planning on wearing it to a “White Party” on Saturday night but sunburn and cupping may distract from the look I was going for 😂
Family name: Labridae (wrasses)
Order name: Perciformes
Common name: Napoleon Wrasse are also known as Napoleon fish, Maori wrasse, and various other names
Scientific name: Cheilinus undulatus
The Napoleonfish can instantly be recognized by its size, colour and shape. It is one of the largest reef fishes in the world and is the largest member of the wrasse family. They can grow up to 230 cm and weigh 190 kg. They have fleshy lips and a hump over the head that is similar to a Napoleon hat. The hump becomes more prominent with age.
Colours vary with age and sex. Males range from a bright electric blue to green, a or purplish blue. Mature males develop a black stripe along the sides, blue spots on their body scales, and blue scribbles on the head. Juveniles can be identified by their pale greenish colour and 2 black lines running behind the eye. Females, both old and young, are red-orange on the upper parts of their bodies and red-orange to white below.
Maori wrasse, like all other wrasses, have protrusible mouths, with separate jaw teeth that jut outward.

Just finished up our @queensland roadtrip and what a trip it was!
From exploring giant waterfalls to finding some furry hopping friends, this roadtrip had it all. 💦
Our last stop was at Wallaman Falls. The roar of this 268m drop from this waterfall is just incredible. Exploring the base of Australia’s tallest single drop waterfall is a pretty sweet way to cool off and finish our trip 🚗

Port Beach is an absolute mess atm - closed off, completely eroded and according to news articles, it has industrial debris (metal & pipe lines) hanging out of the sand. I went for a walk but couldn’t go far. Anyway I managed to find a patch that makes it look presentable (avoiding a lot of washed up crabs)! 🦀 🐚 🌊
