After reflecting on just two weeks of teaching classes and how grateful I am for the opportunity I have realized a few things.
1. Working out can be a bonding experience. Going headphone free in a relaxed environment allows you to connect with others who have the same goals as you. Whether it’s to feel stronger, healthier, or just to give a little time to themselves, you can find motivation in knowing that others are going through the same experiences as you and it’s OKAY to go at your own pace.
2. There are wonderful women in every community that share kind words, advice, or are capable of making your day a great one through smiles or laughter. When you take the time to get out and meet people, you will be amazed by how beautiful the world really is! I think that’s important to see in our world today when we’re constantly surrounded by negative news and stories on social media.
3. Women are STRONG. Students, mothers, grandmothers...my goodness! I was blown away by how easy my resistance bands, dumbbells, and kettle bells were for y’all! But I will never hesitate to invest in heavier weights because that’s just badass!
I’ll stop talking your ear off (for now)! I hope to meet even more of you awesome women next week at our classes!
