Just finished training for my EXS 321 lab 1.5 mile run for next week. 🏃♀️
• Mile at 9 minutes with a .25 mile break finishing out with the final .5 mile. • Who would’ve known walking out of the fieldhouse I’d walk into a prize from pink nation! Running does pay off! •
I PUT MY ARMOR ON /
SHOW YOU HOW STRONG I AM /... / I AM UNSTOPPABLE TODAY (Sia)
Good evening. Yesterday I had my first failed attempt (this photograph represents nothing, it was just one I had in my phone, haha). It was a hard tempo: 5 miles with 2:1 work to rest ratio. I made it 4, bailing on the final tempo-speed mile and recovery run. I just couldn't do it.
Got a new mile PR of 6:31, but I wasn't aiming for PRs, and am really only mentioning because it's something.
Am a little burnt out. Excited for a step back week next week. Tonight, 5 miles. Saturday, 13.1. Then perhaps a little time with...people? I think that's what they're called.
Darker mornings and temperatures dropping means longer sleeves and headlamps, but also quieter mornings and less traffic. Today’s shoe test was the @brooksrunning Glycerin 16, headlamp is the new @biolite 320, currently up on Kickstarter.
Four miles in tonite. Going to rant a little here because I want all of you to be the best yous. The greatest gift running and #Beachbody has given me has been strengthening my self discipline...before i started running and #beachbody a year plus ago I will admit I was at a point in my life where I was weak minded. I complained and felt bad for myself. I let stuff bother me and stress me out. I had many bad habits. I was coasting through life.....I was ok and content but wanted more. I decided to make a change. I have put in a lot of work and time to both my mental and physical and have changed a lot for the better. Im not done yet and will continue to grind to improve everyday. I have made a lifestyle change now and theres no going back only forward! I know if I can do it so can everyone! When are you going to begin your journey to a better you? Join me! #grateful2grind
