Every few years i've stumbled upon artists and bands that have changed the way I perceive music and life. The last time this happened to me is when I was in Nyack having a drink at a spot named olives. The bartender was playing this album and the voice coming over instrumentation arranged in ways I've never heard before made me stop everything I was doing and find out who it was. @littledragonflicks makes music unlike anybody else I've ever heard and it doesn't JUST sound amazing but they convey real life messages while having a blast experimenting. Every single project they've put out has been incredible in its own way not to mention every single song sounds completely different than the last. After seeing them live twice at a festival then in a concert hall setting I just have to thank them for the great music and experiences. During these days almost nobody cares about making great music anymore it's all about the money and clout but yall keep the love of music pumping through my veins. Only other bands to change my life were the Beatles and Nirvana, which should tell u something. Love yall, can't wait for whatever yall do next.
Searching for a unique New York experience? Take the Q line five minutes south from The Marmara Manhattan to arrive at NYC's most interesting form of transportation: tramway. Hop aboard this Roosevelt Island streetcar to see the city from an aerial point of view.⠀
Realised I never put up this shot from the Roosevelt Island Tramway when I was there last month! Worth checking out for anyone that’s never used it. Metro cards work as well, so doesn’t cost any extra!
"This project's water management system consists of two parts: (1) a water collection systems located on the rooftop farm and ground-level rain gardens and (2) a water treatment system located in the basement. First, sewage pipes transport all collected water to a filtration system so that large debris can be removed. Next, water is transported to the basement and undergoes the following treatments: grit removal, biological treatment, secondary treatment (also called activated sludge process), and disinfection. The sludge produced during the final step is used as fertilizer for the rooftop farm."

#axonometic#section#drawing completed during Summer 2018 AAD Fuzzy Symmetry Studio led by Daisy Ames @studioames.
For this studio, students proposed housing projects on Roosevelt Island which simultaneously pushed back on existing models of living and outdated water management systems. Through architectural production, students questioned the role of symmetry (or lack thereof) between the reasons for each crisis and collectively theorized the role of symmetry as well as asymmetry, bilateral symmetry, translational symmetry, etc.
