📸: Coaster Nation
#22 is Tempesto @buschgardensva. This is a really fun premiere rides launch coaster even if it is a clone. It's got a pretty forceful launch, an inversion with great hangtime, and some decent theming. It's parked pretty close to Apollo's Chariot so it's a little squished in, but does look good when entering the park. The only problem I have is the "comfort" harnesses. They're pointless and make getting in and out a real pain. Overall this ride is pretty fun. Just don't get stapled and you'll be fine.
Dragon’s Lair (Game Boy - Elite Systems - 1991 - FAH)
Adapting the source material on an humble Game Boy would have been impossible at the time: in arcade, Dragon’s Lair is a FMV filled with QTE. The game was instead ported as a platform game, as a remake of an old ZX Spectrum game called Roller Coaster with a Dragon’s Lair skin on it. That explain the large number of fairground rides disguised as floating platforms, quite unusual in a medieval setting. Dirk’s animation is detailed, so are the graphics, but the gameplay is weird, jumps are inaccurate and all the screens loops infinitely. To finish the game, you have to collect a bazillion piece of whatever scattered across the world. Sadly, this is quite boring and unappealing to me.
🎁 #100HappyDays day 31
Day 31 of #100HappyDays I received the most precious early Christmas gift last night 🎁 💝. I asked my kids that this Christmas, all I truly wished from them was their presence and a photo with Santa 🎅, and they delivered it perfectly 👌🏼
Already, I look back at 2014 and 2013 photos (2 & 3) of us and my heart beats softer and warmer seeing and knowing how far my kids and I have come. To stop, sit, be present and reflect at this time of year on the truly important things in our lives is extremely underrated. I know what I want out of life, whom I wish to experience it with and how we can live it. The irony is I’ve been doing it for quite sometime now.
Thank you kids 🙏🏼 I ❤️ each and every one of you soooo much and know that as teenager women and a very soon to be teenage son that this was not something high on your priority list 😜. I thank you very very much for making me the happiest of dads for this experience and letting Santa’s 🎅 elves 🧝♀️ 🧝♀️ capture it for us.
I ❤️ you Drew,Molly and Bowie.
❤️🤗 😘 Dad
P.S. And yes, I am sitting on Santa’s knee. Not my idea but Santa 🎅 and the kids 🐬 🐮 👻 thought it was a good one 😉 😂 😂Thanks kids 🤪
