Beautiful views today on my afternoon run before evening clients 🏃🏻♀️ it was so good to be running outdoors after weeks of pounding out miles on the treadmill! I have a massive day ahead of me tomorrow, so chilling with my boo @iandawson7 before an early night! 😁💜

Nice run. We got caught up in some rain. But it didn’t last long. Pushed the pace a little and I did have some pain after the half way point but it went away as soon as I eased my pace and the pain was not at the level it was at it’s worse. So either I’m getting better or I’m just learning to run through this pain 😂
Pontiac Firebird Trans Am
Pontiac Trans Am SD-455 (1973-1974)
The sun was already setting on Pontiac’s golden age, however, when the engineers turned out their greatest effort: the Firebird Super Duty 455. The SD-455 has been accurately described as Pontiac’s last stand and the last real muscle car. It also prefaced the dawn of the performance era we enjoy today.
By 1970, the division’s street machines, although wildly popular, had lost their performance edge to the likes of the Hemi-powered Plymouth Road Runner.
The objective was to create a Firebird capable of matching or beating a Ferrari Daytona: 165-plus-mph top speed, 0 to 60 mph in five seconds flat, 110-mph quarter-mile speed, 0.85 lateral g’s, excellent handling, and improved braking,” he says.
To avoid trouble with emissions tests, the engineers passed off their radical creation as a version of Pontiac’s high-volume, emissions-certified, lazy 455 big-block.
Its reported, likely made-up 310-hp rating easily embarrassed the 245-hp output of that year’s top Camaro and put the SD in league with the big-block monsters that had ruled a few years before.
Lincoln Continental Mark lll (1968-1971)
Ford shifted the Lincoln Continental Mark lll up into the personal luxury car market for the 1969 season. The Continental Mark III marked the debut of the 460-cu.in. V-8. The big 460 cubic inch engine came sucking through a 4BBL carb and putting it's power through a 3-speed automatic transmission.
It was developed as a direct competitor to the Cadillac Eldorado after its successfully shift to the personal luxury coupe segment in 1967.
Continental coupes were launched in 1966 and were the first Lincoln two-doors cars since 1960.
The Mark III was marketed as Ford's flagship vehicle and it wasn't until the launch of the Mark III that the Lincoln staff felt it had developed a successor to the stunning Mark II of 1956 and 1957.
The Lincoln shared its underpinnings with the ever-widening Ford Thunderbird.
Unlike full-size luxury cars like the Cadillac Eldorado and the Chrysler Imperial that are car collector items of interest and seem to hold their value fairly well.
On the other hand, these personal luxury cars like the Lincoln struggle to keep their value and struggle to gain a following.
