Star Wars and the Power of Costume: Queen Amidala's costumes were heavily influenced by the Mongolian royalty with the extravagant head dresses and textures of luxurious fabrics. Her costumes made up half of this exhibition. 😆👌 #nofilter#slay#fashion

SHABAM! It took 4 hours but I made the bun piece finally for my revamp of my Tatooine Disguise Padme from Phantom Menace ^-^ it's probably my favorite costume she has and even though I still have to make the the braid for across my forehead to connect to the bun, this is a definite success!! But yes, all the braids are attached to the bun and i did them all by hand. Thank you @epiccosplaywigs for giving me the wonderful idea of making my own bun since I needed one by Saturday night ♡ I didn't even think of doing one myself :D
I took a bun holder sponge thing and just glued and wrapped wefts around it, finally going over it with a heat gun to tighten up the hairs and ensure it'd stay altogether. I then braided 4 individual braids I had made and attached them via hot glue to the underside so they wouldn't be seen. 2 small braids on the sides, 1 big braid in the middle, and 4th one making a loop. I tried to get it as close as I could to the movie screenshot I have, but not bad for an amateur lol the ponytail is my usual clip I've had for years lol, primarily for attaching it to the back of my cap for my pokemon Hilda cosplay lol. The braiding made my fingers pretty sore tho, but tomorrow I'll finish it up and maybe out the whole outfit on for a makeup test! :3 .
I am Queen Amidala 💫
Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party last night was so fun! I definitely hope to make it back again before it ends! I vlogged it so that video will be going up on Sunday! In the meantime, another park-hopping video went live this morning! Follow me around Magic Kingdom + Animal Kingdom 😆💚🐾
Star Wars: The Phantom Menace(1999):(7.2/10)
After 16 years of being away from the Star Wars universe, George Lucas's long awaited return let down many. The story took away from plot points that the original story worked to set up, and there was much more childish humor included in the film. But was it all bad?
While the story and introduction of some of the new characters were not the best decisions, the film did set up a new trilogy as well as gave us another amazing soundtrack and expansion into the universe, the film reunites us with practical effects which at the time of it's release were being used less and less, and the villain, Ray Park's Darth Maul, was amazing and added more to the star wars Galaxy while giving us what at the time was the best action sequence in star wars and definitely an amazing sequence compared to most action movies.
My experience with the movie was that while it's not to best prequel to the original trilogy, it's not actually a horrible movie and can be quite enjoyable if you can forgive a certain character with long ears.
Halloween is coming 🎃 🔮🧙🏻♀️
How did I do with my first super easy look? Queen Amidala
FUN FACT- The company that makes LimeLife foundation was used during this film to create the custom foundation color for Queen Amidala. We have it and it’s called Porcelain.
Full look creation is over on YouTube and my magical removal is up on IGTV 😉
