Thanks to @puremichigan and @cherryrepublic for the very tasty dark chocolate covered cherries (made with Michigan cherries, of course) given to me at @travel_con ! I can’t wait to get to Michigan to experience some of the cities I’ve never been to before like Traverse City and to explore the Upper Peninsula and run down the Sleeping Bear Dunes!! @traversecitytourism @sleepingbearnps @upperpeninsula #puremichigan#michigan#americathebeautiful#tastetheworld
And here we have the fantastic @clara_blows having her first #faygo . As I am from Michigan one of my favorite things to do is introduce out of town performers to some sort of #puremichigan treat. So went with #redpop ... this was an adventure. 😂 in the end, it was decided it’s “very sweet” but got better with each sip!
We just got back from a great few days in Michigan’s beautiful Upper Peninsula. Such a magical place. We spent most of our time in @picturedrocksnps and Marquette. Marquette reminded us of Traverse City. Beauty everywhere and great food and places to grab drinks. We particularly enjoyed @blackrocksbrewery and @marqrestaurant - can’t wait to go back! #upperpeninsula#marquettemichigan#northernmichigan#hikingadventures#puremichigan
How do you define camping? I have a lot of friends who would count this as camping, which I understand because you're still out in nature doing mostly ourdoor-related things. But I didn't grow up around anyone with a trailer or RV, so to me camping requires a tent and/or hammocks and a bit more "roughing it." That's just me personally, and visiting a campsite like this makes me feel as if I'm in the vast minority with that opinion. Also, right next to our site was a guy with a TV, rug, and cushy armchair set up right outside his trailer. So where do you draw the line between camping and glamping?
On Sundays, we make our grocery list, go shopping, meal prep as much as possible to make lunch/dinner easy during a busy week, & eat donuts 😋
Through this journey, I’ve found that balance is the only way we have been able to maintain our weight/results, and still enjoy the foods we absolutely love! (And yes. I’m eating two donuts because I couldn’t decide which one I wanted 😂)
Just for fun, let’s play a game: Look out the closest window right now and tell me exactly what you see. Me? I’m on the road right now en route to hit the apple orchard with my mom and sisters! What I see: Beautiful morning light, clear blue skies and just a few trees starting to change color. Feet on the dashboard, coffee in my hand, and Moth Radio Hour on podcast. Now it’s your turn: what do you see out of your window?
