It's a petite, cylindrical DITA product.
In other words, it's not your everyday pair of DITAs.
Project 71 pulls ever so slightly away from the reference into a realm that's little warmer, a little more musical and a little more emotional.
It aims to bring out the musicality of each note, singling out the emotional nuances in your favourite track, placing you straight in the psyche of the artist.
Try Project 71 out for yourself at HPFes 2018. We'll be stationed at Nakano Sun Plaza from 27-28 October and we're looking forward to meeting friends old and new.
See you there!
Scouring the factory grounds, we’ve turned up this 24th Edition of the Machinery’s Handbook, published in 1992. First published in 1914, the book has since been renewed for over a hundred years.
It's not rare or valuable. But it's a time-tested, well-loved guide to all things mechanical.
Packed with definitions, diagrams and figures, it's what the engineer needs for a spot of old school industrial problem solving, when Google just doesn’t cut it, earning this book its place in workshops and offices the world over.
Can you spot the easter egg in our homebrewed bookmark? #takkiu (We'd also love to see your Machinery's Handbook, if you have one nestled somewhere at home or at work. Send them in!) #project71#engineering#engineeringporn#history#sghistory#bookstagram#audiophile#iem#vintage#ditaaudio
587 Serangoon Road// DITA's parent company, Packagers Pte. Ltd., first began life after WW2 in the late 40's. It was birthed in a humble shophouse on Serangoon Road as Tan Yew Heng Pte Ltd.
The company grew to become a prominent contractor in plant installation in the rapidly industrialising Singapore of the late 1940s, taking on projects for now-ubiquitous local brands like Khong Guan and Prima Flour.
In its present incarnation, established in 1971, Packagers Pte. Ltd. is a leading supplier of advanced packaging machinery and snack food processing lines.
#Project71 is a call back to the year 1971 and celebration of 47 years of research and experience in automation and engineering.
All condensed within the brass-ebony chassis of a pair of earphones.
So the Monkey told me today that he won’t be around next weekend... but it’s for a good cause... doing a half Ironman in support of World War 2 veterans. I think he’s barking but I know that any support would be gratefully received

Project 71 uses Macassar ebony, each ring distinctively patterned.
The inclusion of both Ebony and Brass, different materials in 71’s chassis poses a unique set of challenges in the realm of precision engineering.
Variables generated during machining are controlled to ensure that the materials join seamlessly without warping or splitting.
The result, a polished piece that is both aesthetically and sonically stunning.
The unique resonance of Brass, tempered by Ebony, made possible through engineering research and development.
In 1971, DITA's parent company, Packagers Pte. Ltd, was established.
Since then, it's been 47 years.
47 years of research and experience in automation and engineering, treasured and translated since 2012 into the work that goes into every DITA product.
Project 71 is a celebration of 47 years of precision engineering, condensed within the brass-ebony chassis of a pair of earphones.
Making its way to you Fall 2018.
Game changer with these @afr_heads. Bumped compression up by nearly a point and decreased the quench height by .027”. Next will be checking pushrod height for correct valvetrain geometry. Should be fully assembled soon! #project71#chevelle#airflowresearch#arpstuds
