Body Confidence. .
100% something I have been lacking the past few weeks. Currently 38 weeks pregnant and all the weight I didn’t gain throughout this pregnancy decided to hit all at once. This sports bra and shorts fit perfectly 2 weeks ago. The stretch marks were not as visible two weeks ago. I’ve never weighed this much in my life, so it’s safe to say I’ve been lacking the confidence I once used to have... .
BUT IM GROWING A TINY HUMAN!!!! And I am more than excited to meet him in two short weeks (hopefully less). I realize that my body is making all these significant changes to be ready for his arrival. The weight will come off, my clothes will fit again, and my stretch marks will become cool ass battle scars reminding me of this long 9-10 month journey I’ve been on starting our family. .
These pictures are going to be my “confidence” pictures. The pictures I am going to use as the beginning of my postpartum weight loss journey. It’s not going to be easy, but it’ll be a hell of a journey.

Finally got around to painting this toy shelf today. I’ve been wanting to paint it since I found it at the Goodwill but never really knew what color to do. I’m so happy with how it turned out ❤️ I got so much done today and I’m ready for a slow Sunday tomorrow. ✌🏼☕️🌻✨
Today, we went to the outlet mall to grab a new bra. We stopped at Carter's to get some baby boy clothes. I'm almost into the 3rd trimester and have bought nearly nothing for our little burrito. Losing the pregnancy years ago has been so hard, but we love this boy dearly. At 27 weeks baby moves a LOT although he still stops when his dad puts his hand on my belly. We can watch my stomach move . Wiggly little burrito moves like crazy. We have done 2 birth classes so far. Funniest moment was no poopy lol. I am eating bananas like crazy which is funny since baby J LOVED bananas too. Things are going well, we can't wait to meet our little guy. 💙💙 #baby#pregnancy#babyboy#clothes
Segment 7 - MUSCULOSKELETAL CHANGES
During pregnancy, or sometimes during birth itself, the rectus muscles, a wide set of muscles running from the chest to the pubis, over the abdomen, may separate vertically in the center. This is called "rectus diastasis." In most cases, the gap will reduce again, but women with especially wide separation may need to begin exercises to strengthen them and use abdominal support while the muscles are returning to their normal position.
After the birth, levels of the hormones estrogen and relaxin fall, reversing their loosening effect of the joints and ligaments. These changes can cause a backache, and women should take care when lifting the baby or anything heavy to use proper lifting techniques (keep the back straight and upright when lifting, and hold the baby or object close to the body). 1. Eat the right foods.
Proper nutrition will help aid the body in recovery.
2. Strengthen your core.
Though avoid sit ups and crunches as they place a great amount of pressure on your pelvic floors.
3. Practice diaphragm breathing.
When you breathe through your diaphragm and not through your upper chest or belly, the pressure inside the abdomen will be relieved.
4. Check out your body alignment.
Either physiotherapy or a chiropractor.
5. Do pelvic floor exercises.
These are sometimes called kegel exercises and are considered to be one of the most useful exercises for diastasis recti because these can help activate the deep trasnversus abdominis. You can perform these exercises throughout pregnancy too.

This afternoon I found my therapy to be a few sips of wine, making homemade applesauce for Henley and vacuuming the house. 😂 Does anyone else find it therapeutic to clean? Or am I crazy? Probably just crazy... 😜
