Happy Tuesday everyone! In today’s video I ask the question, are the people around you bringing out your best? Are they raising your energy? Or do you find yourself drained after you’re with them. When we value ourselves, we stop putting up with negative behavior and we truly begin to realize that we deserve only the best 🌟🙏
#I is for #ImposterSyndrome Raise your hand if you’ve experienced this. Don’t worry nobody else will know, but if they did, I bet their hand would be up too. Anyhow, sharing this series of letters is my way of acting inspire of feeling “less than.” When I look at these letters I am equally excited and embarrassed. There are so many things I wish were different, better, closer to the watercolor or lettering if the many designers and lettering artists I follow. Nonetheless I am trying to take inspiration from @brenebrown and #susancain ’s advice and share my work as it is now, imperfections and all.
I think it’s important to play. Whether it’s in your mat, or in your kitchen - don’t take yourself too seriously!
When you give yourself the space to be creative, you open up to possibility.
I’ve been practicing this play mindset on my mat and in the kitchen and the results my friends, have been fabulous! Practice is fun and interesting as opposed to serious and disheartening (as it sometimes can be). I’m not like, doing whatever the eff I want on my mat, as demonstrated in this picture 😂 still doing my regular practice - but without all the heavy seriousness. It’s great!
And in the kitchen I’ve been putting less pressure on myself to create the “perfect” recipe, or to eat super “clean” and just tuning in to what my body needs and wants. And sometimes, that’s chocolate.
Life is way better when you play. I think I’m gonna go eat some chocolate!
