Made homemade pizza. Fresh pizza sauce from some tomatoes we had, graded fresh mozzarella ball, used some roasted bell peppers I roasted this summer and put in the freezer.
My pizza had: mozzarella, ricotta and parm. Cheese, topped with roasted garlic and bell peppers, onions, jalapenos, and artichokes!
Matt's had: mozzarella, parm cheese, pepperoni, sausage, fresh bell peppers and onions.

L'industrie has been on my to-do list for about a year since @scottspizzatours Scott mentioned to me that I needed to get there. It's not like Williamsburg is far — I used to bike over the bridge and back to Brooklyn daily — but for one reason or another, it wasn't until last week that I finally made the trip. It was worth the wait and mostly lived up to the hype.
The eponymous @lindustriebk slice features tomato sauce, mozzarella, prosciutto, burrata, and extra virgin olive oil. The crust was slightly breadier and chewier than I'd anticipated, but it's still a pretty thin slice — pliable but with integrity.
The cornicione is spotted with tiny blisters that are like the beginning of a sunburn. And as you bite into it, they flake away like phyllo. There's a very minimal approach to sauce/cheese (but both in balance), and a nice, slightly funky finish from copious cheese shavings.
I had some drag-pull from the prosciutto, not enough to make it unpleasant, but enough to remind me that this is often a tricky topping. And the two cool dollop-pockets of burrata relief, creamy, not overdone, couldn't help but make me think that this was a little like a fancy cold cheese slice.
$7 for a slice strikes me as steep, but it seems like the days of having sticker shock at this kind of thing are long gone. And frankly, I can't say that if L'industrie were in my hood, I wouldn't be shelling out for it with some frequency. This is a great little spot and all y'all hipsters are lucky to have it. It would instantly be the best -slice- in the East Village. — #pizzacowboy 🍕🤠
