A nostalgic picture as we begin renovations of Christopher's Bourne Street drawing room in preparation for a special event in September #watchthisspace Shot for @worldofinteriors 2004 featuring a plump Howard & Sons Easy Stool (2 #availablenow in our warehouse), our #madebyhowe Mark chair and his beloved Joanna (which he can’t play), once belonging to 1960’s screen actress Jill Bennett and soon to be rehoused in our #pimlicoroad showroom. ⠀
Tremendous ✨ small exhibition of antique textiles @coxlondon including gorgeous Swedish carriage cloths like this 19th c ⚡️Lightening ⚡️ one (can be all yours for £7,980). We got soaked during our thunderous pub crawl last night but so fabulous to see the lightening and be out in that rain that makes things smell exciting.

Pimlico Road Pinor Noir 2016 Limoux
“From 2015 onwards all the wines got a special cuvee name related to the variety they are made from, and a date underneath indicating vintage. ‘Because we ship fresh grapes we are not allowed to use the variety or vintage,’ Gavin explains. These latest releases are very impressive wines
Pure limestons soils. Two tanks, one had 40% whole cluster, the other 30%. Very little extraction. Went into old barrels. Very pure, vivid, juicy and supple with red and black cherry fruit as well as some spiciness. There’s a hint of rhubarb, with nice grip under the fresh fruit. Youthful and vivid, and needing a little time to open up. This is impressive, with nice acidity. 90/100” wineanorak.com

We’re thrilled to have acquired this self-portrait by Jean Lombard, painted in 1947. During the Second World War, Lombard led the Groupe du Vert-Bois, a group of young artists who met weekly in the Rue du Vert-Bois in Paris. Amongst these young artists was the illustrious Othello Radou - an exceptional artist that we are proud to represent exclusively here at John Adams Fine Art. As a result, we are delighted to be able to hang work by Lombard and Radou together once again.
