And this week’s result is in....it’s half a stone off (yes, 7lbs!). That means I got my 8st award at group, making 12st loss in total....GET IN! From 27st ➡️15st.
I wanted a good week to finally get towards this award but wasn’t sure it would be this week tbh. I had been pretty good on plan all week, even managed to sneak 3 pints in on Saturday night, but I think the highlight was on @natwoodgate birthday. We had a run to Seaton Carew, literally a run for me - 11 miles, and then refused fish and chips, so that in itself is worth an award, and we all still had a great day!
My mojo is well and truly back and I’ve declared I’m going for the same loss again this week. I’m at my lightest now. From 378lbs down to 210lbs. I run the #greatnorthrun in 4 weeks and would love to be 14st for then. Can I get down to it? YOU BET I WILL!
Absolutely buzzing this week, 2st until I get to target 🎯👊🏻
I STOPPED WORRYING ABOUT MY KIDS never listening to me...🤷🏻♀️
...and started worrying about them always watching me. 👊🏼👀👶🏻.
It’s phenomenal how much of a sponge our 2yr old is: she loves to do bandwork with mommy. I have to remind myself not to get frustrated with the interruption Bc it encourages her passion to be active but also develops a habit of fitting fitness into your lifestyle...
...whether it’s in a gym...
...or packing up a hotel room like I was doing here and squeezing in a little more bandwork to help makeup for the workouts I missed that week.💪🏼.
Here’s a wake up call for you...take a look at your children...what habits have they developed that you know deep down are being examples after you? Good and bad, please...

We are always hard on ourselves and I feel like there is a new emergence of #SocialMediaSelfDoubt and #SelfLoathing Before you could quietly hate yourself at home but now you have a wider audience to help promote your insecurities and doubts.
Should I put this picture up, will complete strangers start telling me I’m not good enough, physically fit enough or fit into the #accepted social standard?
I don’t fit, I am a square peg in a round hole but I also know that if you only judge me on my body shape there is something wrong with you and not me. I have a lot more to offer than that but years of being #bullied and #belittled took their toll on my self confidence. My only aim now is to help give others confidence to believe in themselves and what they can achieve whilst at the same time striving to be the best I can be.
What prompted me to say this? A photo my friend sent me of my running to the finish line at #parkrunuk I fell into the trap as soon as I saw it, look at my legs, I don’t look like other runners, I am super slow unlike other runners, etc. Then I really looked at it...I might be slow but I brought out my signature finish line sprint, I had to work hard sprinting up that hill over uneven ground, I have muscles helping me up that hill and I’ve worked hard to get them too, my friend took the photos and sent them because he saw something special too, I am happy!
I’ll fail at things but the power comes in picking yourself up and trying again. Look at the long game, make a lifelong change and don’t let anyone control how you feel about yourself!
Spent the past couple months reading and working on inner spine power and core control. For those of you who know me and have worked with me I always preach engage your core in any movement or exercise and find that breathing pattern to sustain the movement. Finally managed to pull this off with muscling through it. Lifting with the hips and inner spine following through with a combination of upper and lower strength.

Six months ago I got legitimately serious about my health and fitness for the first time in my life.
Fitness was always something that interested me, but I never pushed myself very hard and would always get hit with these small bouts of depression that kept me from even leaving my room unless I absolutely had to.
And then this year, my weight pushing 230 and the weakest I've ever been in my adult life, I realized that it didn't matter what my brain felt like, it mattered what my body did. So with the help of @black_trippa I got serious and stuck it out. For the last month I haven't been able to do a proper gym session, but I've maintained my CICO and I've finally reached my first goal: to be under 200lbs again. I haven't been this light in over three years.
But as amazing as this small victory is for me, I'm not done yet. This journey is neverending. Each goal met gives way to another, for as long as I'm alive. Health will never take a back seat in my life again, depression or not.
