He refreshes and restores my life.
I'm new to Bible journaling in a Bible, albeit a digital one. I love digital art journaling in general, and it just seemed right to start Bible pages.
This verse from Psalm 23 has been on my mind for a couple days. My journaling reflects the conversation I've been having with God and my joy in being drawn back into a closer relationship with Him, a deep and satisfying one. I'm excited to see how Bible journaling plays into this.

The LORD is my best my friend and my shepherd.
I always have more than enough.
He offers a resting place for me in His luxurious love.
His tracks take me to an oasis of peace, the quiet brook of bliss.
That’s where he restores and revives my life.
He opens before me pathways to God’s pleasure
and leads me along in his footsteps of righteousness
so that I can bring honor to his name.
LORD, even when your path takes me through
the valley of deepest darkness,
fear will never conquer me, for you already have!
You remain close to me and lead me through it all the way.
Your authority is my strength and my peace.
The comfort of your love takes away my fear.
I’ll never be lonely, for you are near.
You become my delicious feast
even when my enemies dare to fight.
You anoint me with the fragrance of your Holy Spirit;
You give me all I can drink of you until my heart overflows.
So why would I fear the future?
For your goodness and love pursue me all the days of my life. Then afterwards, when my life is through,
I’ll return to your glorious presence to be forever with you!
what we have been talking about for a LONG time has finally came to be. sucks that we are gonna have to go separate ways for 10 months, but it’s all apart of God’s great plan. You got this bro. We are cut from the same cloth, that’s how i know you’ll make it. When you feel like giving up remember the reason that made you start. It’s never been about us from the moment we decided to do this thing. For God and Country!! I Love you bro!! I will see you in 10 short months. #Psalm23 :4 #MOLONLABE
Message Recap: A Feast with Enemies (Psalm 23:5-6) Guest Speaker Martin Tam
1. God is with us
- What does it mean for God to prepare a table before us in the presence of our enemies
- Two types of enemies: figurative (i.e. Struggles and difficulties in our lives) and physical (i.e. Actual people)
- It is thought that David wrote Psalm 23
- Saul was David's enemy, being jealous of David and trying to kill him
- David was on the run for a good part of his life from Saul
- Goliath also was David's enemy
- David was often an outcast, on the run, or a warrior with blood on his hand, but still was a man after God's own heart
- God takes care of David by preparing a table for him
- Many people would feast after a victory, however in the Psalm the feast occurs before
- When God sets the feast in front of us, it is showing His favor
- God's favor is on us, but it does not promise us that we will avoid suffering or hardship
2. God pursues us
- There is hope for us in Christ
- God has light and hope for us even in the darkness, amongst hardship and our enemies
- What does it mean to be anointed and have your cup overflow? - This occurs through Christ who feeds and nourishes us
- God's love pursues us even when we run away
3. God lives in us
- we will dwell in the House of the Lord forever - The temple of the Lord was built in Jerusalem, but after Jesus' death on the cross the spirit now dwells in us - We are now God's holy temple
when u experience the love of a good Shepherd who leads u to church to hear this truth: peace comes from proximity to the Shepherd! if God doesn’t make me lie down (so he can calm, satisfy, repair, guide me) I won’t do it #psalm23#stillwaters#gratefulformypastor @iamlandonmacdonald — don’t miss this message...your soul needs it! House plants, green pastures
Sunless valley, winter skies grey
Paths without plans, feet weary and sore
Feasting and fasting, coffee foam
Essential oils on my head, balm of healing
Peace blend, restoration
Stalked by goodness and mercy
As I walk back home
Towards his presence
To dwell there,
Amongst house plants
Hard back of hardwood floor looking up
To sunlight on the ceiling of heaven
We hang our hope
Built working the walls
Of a fickle and forming heart -June 2018, a month of complete joy and learning to be a hungry sheep, led by sunny skies and waters. Fullness of life. Answered prayers. Pouring out to be filled again.

~He makes me to lie down in green pastures; he leads me beside the still waters. He restores my soul; He leads me in the paths of righteousness for His name’s sake.
Consider: Am I weary from cares? From where do I seek rest and strength?
Jesus responds: “Cling to Me until the life from Me – the Divine Life, by that very contact, flows into your being and revives your fainting spirit.
Become recharged. When weary do as I did on earth – Sit by the well. Rest.
Rest and gain power and strength and the work too will come to you as it came to Me.
Rest till every care-thought has gone, and then let the Tide of Love and Joy flow in.”
365 Days of Daily Devotions from The Book, “God Calling”. It consists of Daily prayers, between two anonymous poor, despondent British women, in 1932. Jesus Christ starts to speak to their hearts, daily, based on their daily prayers. Some time later, a London newspaperman, A.J. Russell, discovered these treasures of a year's worth of writings and edited them for publication in England, 1935.
In part, A. J. Russell writes in The Story of the Book: “Not one woman, but two have written this book; and they seek no praise. They have elected to remain anonymous and to be called “Two Listeners.” But the claim which they make is an astonishing one, that their message has been given to them, today, here in England, by the Living Christ Himself.”
This Daily Devotional Book has seen me through the past two years and now I thought it was time to share it with you. May it help you as much as it has helped me.

Years ago, I listened to this chapter in psalms on audio. I had it play over and over again as I fell asleep. This was a time when I had this gripping fear that would keep me awake most nights. But this chapter, though I know it well remains to still speak volumes. "The Lord is my Shepard, I lack nothing."
I heard someone once say about that first verse that we have to declare and proclaim those words... "I lack nothing" some versions even say "I shall not want." Over to verse 4 "even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and staff they comfort me." One thing that recently was highlighted is " the valley of the shadow of death"...the valley itself is not death, but it's the shadow that looks like it. If you see your shadow, it always look bigger than you are, the image and shape looks distorted too. Fear can have many faces. Yet David proclaimed " I will fear no evil, for you are with me." Speak to the fear in your life. Remind it of its place! It may look terrifying to the extreme of even death. Yet it's only a mere shadow because with God as our Shepard we lack NOTHING

Thanking God for yet another day and year on this earth! Thanking Him for His overflowing love, forgiveness and goodness all of which I don't deserve! May this remain a daily thanksgiving as with You all things are possible! Thank you Lord for giving me a future, a real future!
Right now, I have important people in my life who are struggling health wise. Though it's nothing necessarily serious, it's still very stressful. In times of pain you feel worthless, especially when you're the spectator. You think, "How can I help? Or why can't I help." In times like this, I think, "Thank you, God. I wouldn't know who else to rely on." God is my fortress.
