I always get so excited to share new recipes...but I am STOKED about this one.
If you’re orange chicken connoisseur like myself you’re going to fall in-love with this recipe! 🙌🏼
(Grocery list items you will need)
1 package of pre cut chicken tender cutlets (the package I got was just under 2LBs)
2 fresh oranges (fresh is BEST)
Sugar free maple syrup (low cal + low carb)
Soy sauce / (or braggs liquid amino‘s)
+ spices /garlic, chili powder, pepper, onion powder.
Here’s how I make it! 👇🏼
Serves 2-4 people
Maple orange chicken tenders~ -In a large bowl add your chicken tenders, the zest of 1 orange, 1 TBSP of fresh cracked pepper (I use a pepper grinder) 1 1/2 tsp of garlic powder, 1/2 chili powder, 1 tsp of salt. Rub all the spices & orange zest on the chicken until it’s well incorporated. Then add to your bowl the juice of 1 whole orange, 1/2 cup of sugar free maple syrup. Stir well & let your chicken sit for 3-5 minutes.
-Next grab a large sauté pan and add 2 TBSP of oil of your choice. (I used olive oil) Get your pan coated with your oil & hot. Add tenders to the hot pan. It takes about 2 minutes per side of each tender to Cook. I also drizzle a bit of the liquid that’s in the bowl over the tenders while they cook.
Do that repeatedly until all your tenders are cooked. Careful not to burn them.
Maple orange dipping sauce. ~
In a little sauce pan add 1 cup of sugar free maple syrup, zest of 1 orange, & 1/2 of a tsp of pepper. Bring to boil for a minute then remove from heat & it’s ready!
Sweet soy sauce zucchini noodles.
In pan on medium heat add your 4 zucchini’s made into noodles. (if you don’t have a little noodle gadget that’s ok you can also just finely chop them if needed)
4 TBSP soy sauce
1 TBSP sugar feee maple syrup
1/2 tsp garlic
1/2 tsp onion powder
1/2 chili powder
Toss ingredients on medium heat for 3/5 minutes & your noodles are ready!
Plate up- noodles on bottom, next chicken tenders, lastly top it off with your maple orange sauce. Garnish with fresh orange!
Bon appétit! 😋
First time posting my cheat/fav meal 🥘I won’t do cheat days! I only prefer cheat meal 😁 full days of cheat meals makes me uncomfortable 😣 so I follow only cheat meals. Melissa and I went to Sesame Inn tonight. While we were waiting for the waitress to take our order, the power went out! I think it was probably because of the same problems that they had at McKnight this morning. The power came back on not very long after, though, which was funny cause at that point we were kind of expecting a cell phone lit dinner. The food, as always, was so good! We couldn’t decide whether to get dumplings or crab Rangoons for an appetizer, so we got both. We both also had the Orange Chicken. I wasn’t sure ahead of time what I wanted to get and I considered other dishes, but once I took a bite of that crispy orange chicken, I knew I had made a good choice! It was a delicious dinner and we had a nice evening. 🍊🍗🍚🥟
