These lyrics cycled through my head today as I was warming up to head to the gym, I’ve been pretty content with where I’ve been sitting at liftingwise, as I’ve been focusing on trying to get comfortable with higher number, but I just had a feeling today I need to start pushing myself to strive for more! So instead of messing around with singles I knew it was time to test my new found strength, well I didn’t go as planned, but I’ve smiled through the pain because I know it’s only going to build me stronger and I’ll get it next time, just need to rework my program a bit#l
We can stay content for as long as we want, but if you really want to find change you have to face what you fear, it’s the only what to progress!

I just wanted to leave this here.. because mindset is actually EVERYTHING!
If you have a little voice inside your head telling you, you won’t make that lift; or the weight is too heavy; or you won’t get yourself to the gym the number of times you set yourself as a goal; Or you won’t be able to stick to your healthy eating plan... well you won’t! It’s as simple as that.
So stop listening to that stupid little voice and listen to the one that tells you - YOU GOT THIS! 💪🏻👸🏼

Another competition in the books with @angelr7416 I had a a lot of fun. Great event. Great workouts. Thank you to my crossfit family @crossfit_iconic this event takes a ton of work and I know what everyone had to do to make it happen. Thank you to all of the volunteers and judges to make this all work for a great cause.
Had a blast competing in @strengthinourstreets today! @officiumcrossfit was the top fundraiser for the second year in a row raising nearly $14K! Thank you to my team for all the support!

My intention for the day was to keep my ego in check. Not worry about the numbers but focus on the lifts. They still weren't the prettiest and smoothest, but it was a good reminder of what I need to focus on. @juggernauttraining @max_aita

I could nottttttt, @cal_strength why you do dis.... it was an intense struggle getting clean triples done at 120kg~265lb. With all of the volume and my bum knee, it was definitely a challenge. Each set I struggled, but that’s alright, maybe next week 😅
Holding torsion in the drive leg by loading into flexion of the hip and externally rotating allows you to produce more force and efficiently transfer energy up the kinetic chain. Pitching requires excellent hip mobility in external rotation, abduction, internal rotation and extension. Collapsing the back leg prematurely triggers your kinematic sequence and forces you to produce force from a broken Valgus position. Hitters, holding torsion applies to you as well.
