@sunwithmoonsg is currently celebrating the vibrant food culture of Okinawa! Okinawan cuisine is distinctly different from that of the rest of Japan, and Sun with Moon will be rolling out Ryukyu favourites such as rafute and champuru, as well as using unique local ingredients such as ben-imo (purple sweet potato) and umi-budo (sea grapes, pictured). Totally missing Okinawa now! Sun with Moon’s Okinawan Summer Fair is on from now to mid-September.
Before I left Okinawa, I absolutely had to still try out one more local delicacy: yagi sashimi aka raw goat! It might not make it to my top 10 foods in the world but got no regrets for giving it a shot!
