WE LOVE: Future Fossils - "How can we create surfaces and structures that allow nature to grow within our urban environments?" WE LOVE: @houseoftoday, a nonprofit organisation championing Lebanon’s design scene across the globe. Discovered at @designmiami and featuring set design from @ramidalle, plus new work from @sayargaribeh and @khaledelmays.
WE LOVE: Ten Avant-Garde Ways to Sparkle This Season from @anothermagazine. The model here in @swarovski crystal socks custom made by @ekatzelentsova and satin and crystal stiletto sandals by @giuseppezanotti.
WE LOVE: @dezeen's top 10 designs of 2017 that aim to create a better future, such as this project from students at Finland's Lahti University of Applied Sciences, a collection of essential furniture items for those who have had to suddenly leave their homes without belongings.
WE LOVE: An Eclectic Christmas, an exhibition of stunning glass art gift ideas inside @londonglassblowing studio, running until December 23. Amongst the exhibitors is the experimental work of contemporary glass artist, @ruthshelley2, whose layered pattern and colour work is pictured here.
WE LOVE: Retro Travel Posters by @nasa, a collection imagining how future travel destinations across the universe might be advertised. This one, for planet TRAPPIST-1e, appears in @dezeen's selection of the top 10 graphic designs and illustrations of 2017.
WE LOVE: @hassanhajjaj_larache the Moroccan photographer being touted as the "Andy Warhol of Marrakech.” His exhibition La Caravane runs at @somersethouse until January 7.
WE LOVE: Silent Call, a dynamic light sculpture from @lasvitdesign and @khalid_shafar that ‘integrates time and motion for a function beyond the aesthetic’. Programmed with data from some of the most significant mosques in the world, the chandelier is not only beautiful, but functions as a silent call to prayer for those in places it cannot be heard.
WE LOVE: @Nike's project commissioning a string of female artists to launch a new line of workout trousers. Seven women have designed an artwork for Nike Pants Studio in media ranging from neon lights to photography.
WE LOVE: @Novembremagazine's recently published explorative and experimental work with @Ecal_ch (University of Art and Design Lausanne) exploring contemporary attitudes towards the body and beauty.
WE LOVE: @mr_bingstagram's scratch-off advent calendar. Featuring 24 dancing nudes (drawn from submissions crowdsourced from real people), this alternative to the usual advent fair will bring an extra special twinkle to the season.

WE LOVE: The high-tech @foraeva_studio dress, fashioned from over 25,000 @Swarovski Crystals. Created with the help of 3D simulations, algorithmic design methods, and digital prototyping, the creation from fashion designer @lanadumitru and architect @vladtenu is an absolute showstopper.
WE LOVE: The unmissable Test Pattern No. 12 from @ryoji_ikeda at the Store Studios from @thevinylfactory. Experience the immersive and dazzling light installation before December 10.

WE LOVE: Fundamentals from @dutchinvertuals at @dutchdesignweek - a portrait in object and material of the young and established designers that have shaped the collective, guest-curated by @raw_color_.
WE LOVE: Sustainable foods of the future at @dutchdesignweek. The pictured project is from @studio_h_ who are inviting visitors to the festival to sample crops that have been grown with saltwater in response to global water shortages.
WE LOVE: Oesterplat at @dutchdesignweek. Mixing waste oyster shells from the catering industry with concrete and marble @design_academy_eindhoven student, Morjolein Stappers, has made a new range of composite terrazzo materials, both tactile and durable.
WE LOVE: Mourn from @studio_nienkehoogvliet, a new type of urn that acknowledges the toxic impact our remains can have in areas they are buried or scattered. Mourn can determine wether the ground soil is over-fertilized, rich or poor and release the toxins and nutrients it contains in a regulated manner. Find them in exhibition at @dutchdesignweek.
WE LOVE: @design_academy_eindhoven graduate @billievankatwijk's Ventri project. The @dutchdesignweek exhibitor has developed a process for turning waste bovine guts into a leather like material.
WE LOVE: @riveroshan's sculptural Colour Wheels. The coloured glass discs discs rest on oak rods that allow them to balance and re-balance causing a constantly changing interaction between colour and movement. Find them in Klokgebouw at @dutchdesignweek this week.
WE LOVE: Sensual 'eating objects' from @sarahlindaforrer. Organic shapes delicately crafted in porcelain, the EVOKE collection is designed to bring us back to a more intuitive way of eating. Find them exhibited in the Klokgebouw area at @dutchdesignweek.
WE LOVE: @cosstores and @studio_swine's 'New Spring' installation. If you saw the epic blossoming, smoky bubbles in Milan you'll know why we're excited to see their return for @designmiami 2017 in December.
WE LOVE: The Trashpresso from Miniwiz and @wearepentatonic, a giant, solar-powered, mobile recycling plant that turns plastic bottles into beautiful, architectural tiles. Visit it at @somersethouse until Wednesday.
