Я все думала, как адекватнее и благозвучнее перевести эту фразу и не придумала ничего лучше, чем написать дословно: «На всём протяжении дополнительной мили вы не встретите пробок». .

Мне очень нравится подход к тренировкам в TAS CrossFit.
Во-первых, у них очень сильное программирование. Вроде бы все как по учебнику: одна-две-три модальности в тренировке чередуются, создавая ту самую вариативность, за которую кроссфит и ратует. Интенсивность тренировки всегда именно такая, как нужно. Тренеры помогают масштабировать тренировку каждому, и в итоге результатом остаются довольны все. Я чувствую, что прибавляю в технике, силовых и немного в гимнастике)
Во-вторых, у них оптимальное расписание. Кроссфит рекомендует схему тренировок «3 дня работы/1 день отдыха» или «5 дней работы/2 дня отдыха». В TAS придерживаются схемы 5-2: с пн по пт стандартные тренировки, в сб - командная тренировка, в вс - выходной. Как по мне - отличная задумка: 5 дней пашешь, в субботу весело бомбишь team WOD, в воскресенье восстанавливаешься. Нервная система в порядке, тело тоже, ты восхитителен!
В-третьих (и это главное, о чем я хотела написать на самом деле)), у них есть дополнительная тренировка после тренировки. Она выполняется по желанию. Чаще всего включает в себя движения, которые никто не любит, или мало практикует. Как думаете, много набирается таких, кто остаётся на экстра тренировку?) 90% людей уходят по делам, остаются только те, кто заряжен на результат. Я восхищаюсь этими атлетами, правда. Я нигде не наблюдала такой концентрации красивых, сильных и позитивных людей. Закончив WOD, они всеми оставшимися силами будут поддерживать тех, кто ещё в процессе. И это именно то, что заставило меня влюбиться в кроссфит когда-то. 
Вывод?
Делайте немного больше, чем думаете, что можете, потому что можете вы на самом деле гораздо больше, чем кажется)

No fancy mountain pictures for you today (or Porter for that matter)! Just enjoying my own backyard this weekend. 🏔

TRAINING UPDATE: I'm about 9 weeks out from my first half marathon and I'm feeling great! Mostly just keeping consistency in my runs each week and pushing a little further in distance as each week passes. My leg days have solely been dedicated to corrective exercises from prior injuries and strengthening any weak areas. I'm running about 3-4 times per week and weight training about 3 times per week, 2 of which are more upper body days (since I'm still hoping to run the Pittsburgh Spartan in October as well!) This whole shift into endurance training has been quite a learning experience but I absolutely love the difference in physical challenge. 
Also shoutout to @ashley.horner for inspiring me daily throughout my own endurance training. She is running 50 triathlons in 50 days and is an absolute badass. It's so motivating and inspiring to see badass women doing what people say is impossible.

Those last lift of the session feels! Frustrating snatch day yesterday, but I was able to come back and hit some decent lifts after going back down and getting my head back in the game! Happy I was able to hit 2 singles at 125kg/275lbs, after some misses and mis-loading what I thought was 125kg before that(lifting in lbs). Being able to lift with the little bro and get his squats and snatches on point as he helped me through my lifts was also a plus! Slowly but surely becoming a weightlifter again...

Kettlebell training can be more affective as most workouts are labeled as full body workouts as compared to isolation machines. Kettlebells also strengthen your joints and allow your body to further sustain injury. Kettlebells are also a great way to get a serious cardio/weighted cardio workout in without the use of a treadmill or any other cardio machine!! Lastly the off centered weight of the kettlebells works the targeted muscle groups through a wider range of motion due to the recruitment of more stabilized muscles as compared to using a machine, dumbbell or barbell! In-house champs! It came down to a tie breaker WOD between the top two teams. I felt my competitive fire take over in that final exhibition with everyone watching us. THEY PLAYED SOME DRAKE AND IT WAS OVER (y’all know how I feel about the six god). Let me hit you with this feel good story. Today was fun and all, but it was more important to my own journey. I’m a creature of habit, I need my routines to feel at ease. These habits and routines are really critical once I start dealing with unfamiliar situations. Moving to the other side of the country with a few bags of clothes and the looming responsibility of serving this country, can make a kid from TN really ponder his existence and capabilities. I established my routines as fast as I could once I got here. Fitness has been the base of my daily routines. Everything else is centered around that. Chasing numbers and acquiring skills makes my other aspirations feel more achievable.  When I walked into #cf7c I didn’t expect anything and what I got was everything. I was more than prepared to duck off in a corner and meticulously work on my craft, but the community at this gym is unreal. Everyone is nice, super relatable, extremely helpful and most importantly encouraging. The best part of it all, they’re impressed with my level of fitness. It’s unfortunate this experience will be short lived but I’m leaving with more confidence that if I can thrive in such an awesome place, nothing is beyond my reach. I’ve never been a sad dude, but I feel like I sound happier these days. #fitfam #crossfit #niketraining #cf7c

MOVEMENT B: I’ve always like the challenge of the Turkish Get Up. I wanted to practice the movement using a barbell, starting from a single arm barbell snatch, spear press, into a reverse TGU. I didn’t go to the ground in this clip and stopped with the post up position because I was too damn sweaty and slipped all over the flooring. As I watched it I wonder what it would be like if I didn’t rotate the barbell but instead left it inline with my body  I’m sure it would have challenge the instability of the movement on a different level. Special shout out to Eve (on my left side). We met first time on my birthday celebration last year. She didn't realize that she was about to turn into a runner after she walked out. We had our first 1.7 miles run on Sept 16 2017 and on June 28 2018, she finished her first 1/2 marathon in Iceland. 
Last night, we went back to the same restaurant to celebrate my birthday and she is ready to conquer the France 8k run in the park tomorrow. So proud.
So grateful for having these ladies in my life. I wish we will be happy & well and we will be going back to Zero Otto Nove celebrating life again.
