Making very slow but sure progress. Held for like 5 seconds. Need to remember to point those toes, round the back and engage that core. My pillows help my fear of face planting (which I’ve done over and over and over again). Considering I’ve never done anything balanced ever, couldn’t even do a cartwheel as a kid, and that I took my first yoga pose this January as a New Years resolution, I’m impressed with myself. Need to keep reminding myself to compare myself only to past Melanie, not others (why is that the hardest thing ever?!). Week 28+29: A new salad for the barbecues and a cold cucumber soup used as a light starter.
The soup had cucumbers, green pesto, oat milk and lemon juice. The taste was kind of boring, but rye bread croutons spiced it up a little.
The base of the salad was bitter arugula tossed with vinaigrette and then grilled peaches, goat cheese and pumpkins seeds on top. The peaches turned out a bit dry on the outside but so soft on the inside 😋 The leftovers ended up as dessert with Greek yoghurt, honey and salty almonds! #newyearsresolution

One of the things I wanted to learn to do this year was juggle. I don't mean life-wise (although I'm getting pretty good at that!) I mean with actual juggling balls. I watched tutorials, i asked for these colourful balls for Christmas, I threw them around a bit and then I gave up. But I'm no quitter! I'm picking them up right now and giving it another go... is there anything you planned to do this year that you haven't yet got round to?

School lunch for the win!
Yesterday I was so tired my mom made me this lunch; whole wheat tortillas filled with arugula, chicken, pastrami and bell peppers. I made myself a small salad to have this with. Simple yet satisfying!
Ayer estaba tan cansada que mi mamá me hizo el almuerzo; tortillas de trigo integral llenas de rúcula, pollo, pastrami y pimiento rojo. Me hice una ensalada pequeña para acompañarlas. ¡Simple pero delicioso!
