Don’t ever let the voices in your head tell you that you are not enough. Today my anxiety and self doubt is through the roof. Just gotta take deep breathes and tell myself it’s all in my head. Stop comparing myself to others. There’s nothing wrong with me....I’m “just right”
Daily intake is just shy of about 2,000 cals and I am FEELING GOOD. Some days are (intentionally) lower, while other days are (unintentionally) higher and...it all works out! I'm living MORE LIFE and that brings me pure happiness.
Point of view A:
1️⃣ Do I feel awkward in this "fuller" body sometimes? Most definitely
2️⃣ Do I get thoughts about that shred life almost everyday? Absolutely
3️⃣ Do I feel pressured to at, some point, step on stage again? Sure
Point of view B:
1️⃣ Do I feel strong, energized, and healthy? Most definitely
2️⃣ Do I prefer enjoying time with loved ones building memories that'll last forever? Absolutely
3️⃣ Do I want to feel hungry, cold, and tired 25/7 to step on a stage for a millisecond for a piece of hardware? Sure...don't
Bob, I'm going to go with point of view B. I'm still learning - and probably will forever continue to learn - how to embrace a changing physique and mindset. Will I compete again in the future? Maybe - never say never, right?! Even if I opt not to compete, I may push my body in other ways even if it's something as simple as a mini-cut; however, I will continue to prioritize this type of growth, literally and figuratively, because without growth there will be no change. I SURE AS HECK don't want to be the same forever. DO YOU?
