Happy Monday! Everybody seems to hate Mondays but to me it's just another day to get up and get my hustle on. Days of the week have no influence on me or my attitude because I am laser focused on my goals and plans. HUSTLE is the key to your day. Run the day or the day runs you. Let's get going and make the most of it.

Ever since the Great Recession, rental rates have been at historical highs. Over the past two years, the number of renters has dropped as a stronger economy has allowed more people to buy homes, but among the Millennial generation, renting is still the majority. Some of this has to do with the lifestyle that comes with renting: being in or close to city centers, not needing a car, not being tied down to the commitment of a mortgage and home to upkeep. But a lot of it has to do with the high levels of student debt and a cultural shift towards a "sharing lifestyle". Most millennials note owning a home as something they'd like to do someday, but the rising mortgage rates and spiked home prices have been sidelining many potential buyers. On the other hand, rental prices have been on the rise as well, with some vacation markets increasing 6% year-over-year. Some reports say that the majority of renters spend over 30% of their income on rent. The downside there is that the money is not going towards building equity or contributing to any kind of ownership. As the market cools and becomes more of an equilibrium between buyers and sellers, the hope is that more people will be able to achieve that dream of home ownership. Having a great agent helps! Good morning & happy Monday! Did you know, there are 33,352 Anne Arundel County residents living below the poverty line. However, this does not represent the true extent of poverty as the cost of living in Anne Arundel County is well above the federal poverty line. This creates a huge gap for those who need assistance but do not qualify for government assistance. The Anne Arundel County Food Bank assists these families out of crisis by providing costly basic necessities. As the holidays approach, we are hosting a 1 day food drive in cooperation with the Anne Arundel County Association of Realtors. The items that are most needed include: canned meats/pb&j/pasta & sauce/granola bars/cereal/soups & canned meals/mac n cheese/baby food/ensure/nutritional supplements. Please see the attached flyer for more information. Thank you so much for donating to such an important cause this holiday season. Xo, APM💙
