Explored the jungle and pampas of Bolivia and survived unlike Yossi Ghinsberg's friends (Jungle - 2017 film starring Daniel Radcliffe). The morning fog over the jungle is a stunning view and never gets old like the Queen of England.
Sugar cane juice is hard to make and requires five people. The picture doesn't do justice.
Night walk in jungle and we leapt unto a frog.
Macaw nest viewing. I didn't know they burrow unto the cliff of a mountain and live there. It goes at least 1 m deep and they live as a couple.
Cicadas are super annoying in Toronto and especially in the jungle when you are trying to sleep. This little guy squealed like a pig.
Our guide heard wild pigs oinking around and we chased them down. This lead to a showdown. Us vs dinner, you can guess who won.
Caimans (alligator/crocodile) were everywhere in the pampas. I wanted to push down his tooth and see which was the one that would chomp your hands off.
Capybara are the largest rodent in the world. They are ugly when adult but cute as babies.
Piranha fishing with our guide, Wilman from Mashaquipe Eco Tours. I learned a lot about survival in the jungle from him.
Squirrel monkeys. Monkey see monkey do. 🙊

Sonic trying to decide if he wants to play with his old monkey or his new new monkey. Since his monkey is his favorite toy, we have to replace it every so often. He is now on #3 😉

❄️Every year in winter tourists from around the world flock to the Jigokudani ("Hell Valley") in Nagano Prefecture in the center of Japan to see the monkeys enjoying their heavenly times by bathing in hot springs.
The Japanese macaque, popularly known as the snow monkey, is a species that is native to Japan which inhabits all parts of Japan except Hokkaido and Okinawa. They can survive in areas where the temperature could drop to 10 degree Celsius below zero and snow covers for almost one-third of the year. It is very unusual for nonhuman primates to live under these conditions.
What nature brings as a gift to help stay warm for the macaques that live in the Jigokudani is the hot spring. Imagine a place where hot water fills the air with clouds of steam, melting the snowflakes as they come drifting down while the monkeys, their red faces filled with pleasure, look up at the sky. This is a scene one can hardly see anywhere else in the world. #hotspring#monkey#macaque#bath#relax
