Getting the post weigh in necessities ready for tomorrow. This is the absolute most important part and, by far, the most wrongly done by most athletes. Most athletes cram a bunch if junk food down, high in fat, and chase it with Gatorade and pedialyte.... WRONG!!.
15 minutes before weigh in take digestive enzymes
Immediately post weigh in
-rehydration drink 25g dextrose 25g fructose (6oz OJ) 1500mg sodium 600mg potassium 7g BCAA' 15oz cold water (This should be ice cold and consumed over a 15 minute period)
-10 minutes later Half a rockstar recovery 100mg caffeine
-5-10 minutes after the rock star Another hydration drink consumed Over 15-20 minutes
-After this drink, consume about 60g of carbs from dates
-about 15-20 minutes later (depending on stomach) consume the third drink.
-about 20 minutes later consume 1 cup low fat Greek yogurt and 20g whey protein
-then the rest of my day are whole food meals consisting of -Rice cooked in broth, then served with low fat coconut milk poured on top -potatoes (freshly cooked, not reheated). Potatoes are loaded with potassium and vitamin C. -about 10oz reed meat, and 10oz pork. -Toast with peanut butter, banana and reduced sugar jam with no high fructose corn syrup. *I will have a little candy, like sir patch kids and M&Ms, but its minimal. *breakfast is a very large helping if Kodiak pancakes eaten in two or three servings with peanut butter and sugar free syrup.
