NUTELLA DOUGHNUTS!! So simple but sooo good. Even though we have plenty of other flavours now we still like to be generous with the fillings of our originals. And still only $15 for any 6 pack at The Bread Roll Shop 527 North Rd Ormond.

Mate. It’s a doughnut. Call it a doughnut... or so I thought 🤭.
It’s definitely NOT a doughnut, and outside my expertise. Do we have a brioche expert in the house??
We are looking to expand our team! We are looking for a chef/cook and front of house staff to join us at George & Al Roy.
Must have experience and be available weekends.

South American Smashed Avocado- Avocado mixed with onion herbs and spices served with chilean pumpkin cakes and poached eggs - $16
💚The delicious smashed avocado tasted almost like a guacamole, and the creative and dense pumpkin pancakes really rounded out this simple, yet satisfying dish. 💔A little kick of something spicy would've made this dish even more outstanding.

Super excited to have finally tried Melbourne’s version of Jojo Little Kitchen this afternoon! Not sure if it is in any way affiliated to the original Jojo pan mee in Malaysia but this is my unbiased thoughts on today’s lunch.
The venue itself was quite questionable and I can only assume that perhaps they are trialing the market as the restaurant only had a handful of tables sitting maybe 20-25 pax at a time. Also, restaurant was located in Fulton Lane apartments which was quite tricky to find. Service was decent. Staff were kind and nice but our table ordered 6 dishes to which all six came out one at a time.
I ordered the chilli pan mee, fried century egg dumpling and fried pork(not pictured)on the side. The noodles were great! Super al dente, perfect Q-ness and good width. The accompaniments such as the minced pork and fried anchovies tasted exactly like the OG which was good too. Unfortunately the portion of potato leaf served was sad as I could potentially count the number of leaves in my bowl. Unlike in Malaysia, the chilli seasoning isn’t on the table for you to add on your own. What’s seen in the pic is all you get. If you like spice, get ready to pay $1 for extra chilli!
Thankfully for me, the little bit of chilli was enough to reach the perfect “syok” level. The perfectly poached egg also gave the dish a beautiful creamy touch, leaving the noodles quite saucy and delicious.
All in all, I understand the teething problems with the opening of the new restaurant and tbh besides the queue, the service was pretty ok. The sides I ordered were EXCELLENT especially the perfectly seasoned fried pork(MUST GET). As for my main dish - chilli pan mee, I rate it a solid 8/10. The portion isn’t the biggest but it filled me up. Noodles were perfectly cooked and everything married well together, although I would like it to be a tiny bit saltier and perhaps have more greens!
I would come back again once the crowd dies down a little. And I definitely recommend you to go try it out as well! Remember to order the fried pork and GET IN EARLY! Fried pork sold out at 2pm today!
Thanks for having us @jojolittlekitchen . We’ll be back! 🤤🍜

One of my favourite things about Polly is the fact he is a scientist👨🏽🔬. He’s as curious about this world as me & we can be geeky together, it’s the best. Here’s a pic of our drinks from one of the coolest, creepiest bars in Melbourne filled with decades of history! 👨🏽🔬🍹 #thecroftinstitute#melbourne#melbournebars#melbournefoodie#scientist
