It’s #internationalmountainday and I’m “reminmissing” over the gorgeous peaks I’ve been able climb upon and enjoy. I hope to escape to the mountains again soon! 🏔
“Keep close to Nature's heart... and break clear away once in awhile, and climb a mountain or spend a week in the woods. Wash your spirit clean.”
Umm I do miss these lovely people so much. Life in Canada was about a dream to me. Can’t wait to see you all.
Maligne Lake is fed and drained by the Maligne River 🏞️ which enters the lake on its south side, near Mount Unwin and drains the lake to the north. 🗻 Maligne Lake, as well as Maligne River, Maligne Mountain, and Maligne Pass, takes its name from the French word for malignant or wicked🤪

Jasper National Park / Alberta // On our drive from Maligne Lake back to our campsite in Jasper, we rounded a corner and were dumbfounded by the vista awaiting our presence. We safely, but swiftly pulled the truck off the road and absorbed everything that was happening in the scene. Driving the Icefields Parkway and around Jasper is one of the most amazing drives we’ve done, right up there with Going-to-the-Sun Rd. in Glacier National Park, Hwy. 1 around Big Sur in California, and the drive into Yosemite National Park. What’s the most scenic drive you been on?
