As a person who loves the sport of Powerlifting, I try to do my very best not just as a competitive athlete but also as a coach.
I started out learning things on my own until I met Justin @johnhansoei @zarolalfiyan and @koayqunling . This is when the real interest began to peak and from then on I knew that I’d want to help the community in any capacity I could.
I’ve coached @ciscoistomato and @sisiykaydoubleu for over a year and the progress they’ve made in that time has been nothing short of amazing. For as long as they allow me I will continue to coach them for I know that they have so much more untapped potential.
@ieradalila I started coaching recently and for someone so new, she excelled in ways even she couldn’t believe. A hiccup or two on the bench didn’t stop her from deadlifting a big big PR. I’m very proud of you Iera, well done.
The lifts I’ve posted are probably the ones I’m most proud of from their day, and I’m very sure they feel the same too. Fran with the 87.5kg squat, Cal with a 190kg deadlift and Iera with the 100kg deadlift.
If you need or want a coach, don’t be shy to ask as myself and the other coaches of @ascendonlinecoaching have made it our goal to make people the strongest versions of themselves. And every meet our athletes compete in will be a testament of that.

Bueno, tiempo y paciencia (que a veces no la tengo), mi amiga astróloga Greily dice que soy muy Uraniana, aunque yo nunca esté segura de ello. 🤔 Pero la disciplina es uno de los aspectos que requieres para sentarte a escribir. 📝
Las ideas van y vienen, borras y vuelves a insistir con la trama de algún personaje,
porque a veces nos empeñamos en escribirles sus vidas, pero estos nos hablan e interrumpen nuestro esquema y nos dicen, "oye yo no pienso así"... 👀 y luego surge un texto totalmente distinto al que tenías en mente. Sin embargo, cuando se trata de un proyecto creativo, tiene un adicional: Las fechas de entrega.
En el proceso de escritura muchas son las cosas que te pueden ayudar con la inspiración. Como diría Rilke, "Una obra es buena si surge de la necesidad" y esta no tiene hora. Lo más rico son los acompañantes. En especial, los fieles y amados íntimos de la vida, los que se quedan hasta altas horas de la noche en tu proceso creativo. Jose Manuel y Mariana. 👦🏻👩🏽

Huge weight cut 9.5kg in less than a week. 118kg - 108.5. experience.. hell. Hahaha. Thanks @edwardjr94 for the last sauna session.
Couldn't say I was happy or sad on my results (2nd place of total 587.5kg) didn't manage to break my own total PR of 600kg, but for no proper prep, I guess is not bad.. not bad at all.
Squat : 217.5kg (+2.5kg New PR)
Bench : 130kg (-12.5kg)
Dead : 240kg (-2.5kg)
Total : 587.5kg (-12.5kg)
Once again, a huge round of applause to @mpa.official for organising such a world class event. Never fail to disappoint us. Made new friends at the meet. Thank you to all my family, friend, colleagues and fellow lifters for all the shouting, screaming and massive motivation @amirmohamad5031 @pthepotato . Before the competition started, we had a chance to take a photo with the athlete who is representing MarathonBaker, Hariz @howmuchibench with his handler, MB Ambassador @hafyzdinh .
So, the Handler said that Hariz was the last person to start the U-75kg category for squat as his squat opener (first attempt) was the heaviest among all the athletes. He came in 2nd place behind a Vietnamese athlete, after the third attempt squat at 217.5kg. 🎉
He then managed to regain the first spot as he successfully performed all 3 bench press attempts with “Good Lift” with his third attempt was 175kg. He was entitled to get a fourth attempt to break a GPA U-75kg Junior World Record Bench Press, and he nailed it with 180kg ! Superb 🎉🎉
As for the deadlift, Hariz managed to get ⚪⚪⚪ in his first and second attempts with 215kg and 225kg respectively. He received 🔴🔴🔴 on his third attempt with 235kg due to some problem with the lockout. But, his Handler has already made a good call for his previous attempts that he actually already won the competition with his second attempt for the deadlift! Bijak sungguh Handler nih! ❤️

In the powerlifting world, a Handler is the person who takes good care of the athlete's preparation (warm ups, gears, etc.) A Handler role in a powerlifting competition is like a coach/manager in football match. The one who's making the call for the athlete’s next attempt by looking at the athlete’s form and performance in each attempt. Awesome kan?

Bench press went just as planned. Came in with the goal of hitting a 5kg all time PR and a 17.5kg meet PR at 155, and that's exactly what we got.
1) 140kg ✅
2) 147.5kg ✅
3) 155kg ✅
