I would be lying if I say that the recent trekking trip was exactly how I had imagined it to be. It wasn’t. It was actually more. More fun, more worries, more fears, more fighting. It was challenging to be somewhere I was not the most comfortable. I was in pain most of the time, to be honest, heh. In pain and well, laughing. Laughing at my friends as they laughed at me. Laughing till we were all laughing, together. Frozen hands, chapped lips and a face that I couldn’t feel, a constant reminder at my side, literally, that I could die. But I didn’t. And now I have so much to talk about, so many things to consider and reconsider. A set of wonderful friends. I am thankful. And I am happy despite everything, because of everything. And it’s a good feeling. :”) @gunjansabharwal97 @devil.pichu97 @divyachopra04 @diksha_khuranaa
Looking back I see
Have you ever felt crazy answering the same questions that pop up in your DM box? I felt, many times. But surprisingly, the same feeling gave me a crazy idea.
Through today’s post, I would like to answer the most asked question to me through DMs. “Where are you from?” And with your permission, I would like to answer it in the form of a poem that I had written while coming back from the last trip.
Mountain town, I come not from
But to a metro city, I belong
A place far from these dancing trees
A little more far from the fresh cold breeze
Looking up, I breath
Looking up, I breath
Just boarded the bus, seat is 23,
Window side or not, let me see.
Bag is down, snacks are up,
Something is uneasy, looking down I see.
Looking down I see.
Yet through the windows of HRTC bus,
When I wave at the dawn and the dusk,
These mountain trees wave back to me,
As if I belong to them,
And they belong to me.
I know they won’t keep the grudge,
Nor will they taunt me,
Even if I go back to them,
After years of sleep, looking back I see.
After years of sleep, looking back I see. .
