Disproportionate excitement to find this little fella growing on the allotment (which I haven’t tended to for over a month 🙈). LOVE romanesco - it looks like a work of art and tastes delicious with a big dollop of butter 😋
Organic garden & nature’s bounty.
I always love to grow food beneath soil as it never disappoints ,if soil is good with right amount of watering.
That’s the reason I grow more of yams, turmeric, ginger, sweet potatoes, onion, garlic & potatoes in my garden as it’s all carefree.
And I always enjoy my harvest time ,the surprises they give me .Absolute bliss💯💕.
Today’s turmeric harvest was easy & so blissful .The turmeric bag had less soil & more turmeric 😍
‘Super Food‘ the most powerful natural anti-inflammatory and antioxidant.with its signature yellow color turmeric can be easily grown in a container .
Enjoy the unique flavor of it’s fresh root( zippy & earthy flavor ),whether grated or sliced.

The joy of first harvest😍
Sweet potatoes .
..It was almost time to dig up the buried treasure~They don't like much nitrogen at all.....an animal manure compost is the best form of fertilizer for them. Also, they need lots of sunshine and heat.
Sweet potatoes are also remarkably nutritious and versatile; each fleshy root is rich in vitamins A and C, along with many important minerals. Use them raw, boiled, or baked, in soups, casseroles, desserts, breads, or stir-fries — and don't forget to try some homemade sweet potato fries!🍁🍠 #joyofgardening#organic#sweetpotatoes 🍠 #firstharvestoftheseason#growyourownfood 🌱#urbangardening
On a walking tour of the neighborhood this lovely family from New York happened upon our unexpected labor of love - St. Charles Street Urban Community Garden & Orchard. They were filled with smiles and joy as they meandered through the garden and shared stories of gardening success. I shared seeds with to take back home, in support of their pursuits and our mission (urban agricultural advocacy, community sustainability, and ecological enrichment)! This picture was taken for the journal of their trip and we couldn't be happier than to be a part of a good memory and solid education! Earning a Girl Scout "Gardening Badge" - Step 3: mark/tag rows to identify seeds planted, water, and bask in the sunshine 🌞 Special thanks to our seed sponsor @botanical_interests #familiesinthegarden#ecotoneworld#cheftarsha#instagram#lifeskills#urbanfarmer#botanicalinterests#botanicalinterestsseeds#joyofgardening#smiles#families#thegreatoutdoors
