Jerusalem: A Biblical and Historical Case for the Jewish Capital by Jay Sekulow
In his new book, New York Times bestselling author Jay Sekulow presents a political and historical rationale for the existence of Israel as a sovereign nation.
The State of Israel and its very right to exist is a lynchpin issue not only in the Middle-East, but is a critical issue to the world at large. Whether it is the blatant and stated desire of ISIS, Hamas, Hezbollah, or Iran to wipe Israel from the face of the earth, or the more subtle but equally insidious aim to delegitimize Israel's existence through efforts at UNESCO, the goal is the same-to get rid of Israel.
Here is the book that defends, Israel's right to exist as a sovereign nation. As Chief Counsel for the American Center for Law and Justice, Jay Sekulow has fought with Israel hand-in-hand in some of Israel's most strategic, international battles. Now, he has pulled together the definitive and comprehensive look at Israel-one of the world's most controversial nations- and its importance to us as Americans and as a key focal point to the future of the world. #jaysekulow

The Atlantic Has Probably Found the Reason Hannity Consulted Cohen and That Ain’t All (Pt 1 of 2)
The web in #Trumpville is woven very tight. #MichaelCohen isn’t the only lawyer that #Trump shares with #SeanHannity . #Hannity also employs #JaySekulow and #VictoriaToensing . Sekalow and Toensing sent a cease and desist letter to #KFAQ a #Tulsa radio station. The contents of the letter describe an allegation of #SexualHarrassment by Hannity. The Atlantic:
On May 25, 2017, KFAQ, a radio station based in Tulsa, #Oklahoma , received a cease-and-desist letter signed by two lawyers for Hannity: Victoria Toensing and Jay Alan Sekulow. Toensing’s signature sits above her name and that of her husband #JosephEdiGenova , the members of diGenova and Toensing LLP, who are identified as “Counsel for Sean Hannity,” according to a copy of the letter obtained by The Atlantic. Sekulow is also identified in the letter page as a “Counsel for Sean Hannity.”
The letter was sent in response to #accusations against Hannity made by the controversial #conservative#activist#DebbieSchlussel . During an appearance on the #PatCampbell show on KFAQ last April, Schlussel said Hannity had been “creepy” towards her and had invited her to his hotel room.
Hannity responded at the time by calling the allegations “100% false and a complete fabrication,” and said that he’d hired lawyers to plan a response. “This letter provides notice that Ms. Schlussel’s statements are false and defamatory,” the letter read. “Continued publication will result in further exposure to liability because of continued harm to Mr. Hannity’s impeccable reputation.”
Toensing admitted to having represented Hannity “at the time” but declined to say whether or not she still represented him and got off the phone.

So Bannon (to 😘 Donnie’s Arse) pitched the West Wing HIS legal strategy...which is 🐴 💩. So “retroactively” evoking Executive privilege, refusing a Mueller interview and firing Rosenstein🤔 is the magic to shut down the Russia probe? WOW. Hole’s getting deeper 😏 #jaysekulow#tyecobb#cantsaveyounow

Steve Forbes, former candidate for Republican Party Presidential Nomination (1996 & 2000) and chairman and editor-in-chief of Forbes Media; John Bolton, former representative to the United Nations and Foreign Policy Senior Fellow of the American Enterprise Institute; Brian Mulroney, former Prime Minister of Canada (1984-1993); and Felipe Calderón, former President of Mexico (2006-2012). Moderated by Jay Sekulow. .
A lawyer for President Donald Trump criticized Mark Warner, the top Democrat on the Senate Intelligence Committee Friday, over leaked text messages that show Warner attempted to contact the author of a 2016 dossier alleging illicit ties between Trump and the Kremlin. 🔸
The comments by Jay Sekulow, a personal attorney to Trump, marked the latest stage in an ongoing conservative assault on congressional and law enforcement officials investigating possible Kremlin influence over Trump’s presidential campaign. 🔸
They followed a Thursday Fox News report revealing Warner’s texts with Washington lawyer Adam Waldman, who has ties to Christopher Steele, a former British intelligence agent who produced the controversial Trump-Russia dossier. Waldman also represents one of Russia’s top oligarchs, Oleg Deripaska, an ally of Russian President Vladimir Putin. 🔸
"Why would the majority ranking member of the Senate Intelligence Committee be doing this?" Sekulow said on his daily radio show Friday. He implied that the messages revealed bias on Warner’s part that should give potential committee witnesses pause. 🔸

Thank you to Jay Sekulow of ACLJ and President Trump, Jerusalem will now be recognized as the capital of Israel! This was a very bold move and I’m proud that Mr. Trump took that step, thank you sir!
Benjamin Netanyahu- בנימין נתניהו speech:
This is a historic day.
It's been the capital of Israel for nearly 70 years. Jerusalem has been the focus of our hopes, our dreams, our prayers for three millennia.Jerusalem has been the capital of the Jewish people for 3,000 years.
It was here that our temples stood, our kings ruled, our prophets preached.
From every corner of the earth, our people yearned to return to Jerusalem, to touch its golden stones, to walk its hallowed streets. So it's rare to be able to speak of new and genuine milestones in the glorious history of this city.
Yet today's pronouncement by President Trump is such an occasion.
We're profoundly grateful for the President for his courageous and just decision to recognize Jerusalem as the capital of Israel and to prepare for the opening of the US embassy here. This decision reflects the President's commitment to an ancient but enduring truth, to fulfilling his promises and to advancing peace.
The President's decision is an important step towards peace, for there is no peace that doesn't include Jerusalem as the capital of the State of Israel.
I share President Trump's commitment to advancing peace between Israel and all of our neighbors, including the Palestinians. And we will continue to work with the President and his team to make that dream of peace come true.I call on all countries that seek peace to join the United States in recognizing Jerusalem as Israel's capital and to move their embassies here.
I also want to make clear: there will be no change whatsoever to the status quo at the holy sites. The Jewish people and the Jewish state will be forever grateful. This has been our goal from Israel's first day.
Israel will always ensure freedom of worship for Jews, Christians, and Muslims alike.President Trump, thank you for today's historic decision to recognize Jerusalem as Israel's capital. #christian#christianity#trump#jaysekulow#aclj#israel

Mueller assembles growing team of legal all-stars, Trump has trouble keeping handful of also-rans (Pt 1)
#DonaldTrump ’s hiring practices seem to be limited to having a preference for quirks & belligerence. Or belligerent quirks. A bullet necklace paired with a screaming fatwah on all enemies of #Trump counts far more than a polished resume. Considering people with experience & competence seems to be a red line Trump's unwilling to cross. Those hiring practices have extended into Trump’s legal team.
When news broke on Aug. 3 that Special Counsel #RobertMueller began using a grand jury in #Washington to gather evidence related to his #Russia probe, it appeared to catch the #WhiteHouse off guard. While many news outlets were reporting the story, #TyCobb , just 4 days on the job as the Trump's lawyer, issued a statement saying he didn’t know about it, even as #JaySekulow , another of Trump’s legal staff, went on #FoxNews to say once again that the #president himself wasn’t under #investigation .
Over at special counselor central, #Mueller 's putting together a team that looks like the Avengers of attorneys.
The team members include #MichaelDreeben , a Justice Department deputy solicitor general who's argued more than 100 cases before the #SupremeCourt ; #AndrewWeissmann , chief of the #JusticeDepartment ’s #fraud section; #JamesQuarles , who worked as an assistant special prosecutor on the #Watergate Special Prosecution Force; and #JeannieRhee , a former deputy assistant attorney general in the Office of Legal Counsel who also came from #WilmerHale .
That’s just the tip of a still growing iceberg. Mueller’s team just added its sixteenth attorney, almost all of them with deep knowledge on #corruption and #financialcrimes .
The biggest problem with Trump’s law team is that they're lawyers willing to work for Donald Trump.
Top lawyers with at least four major law firms rebuffed White House overtures to represent President Trump in the #Russia investigations, in part over concerns that the president would be unwilling to listen to their advice, according to five sources familiar with discussions about the matter.

#Scaramucci 's Batting 1,000. On his second day of work, he made a liar out of #JaySekulow on #FoxNews .
#AnthonyScaramucci had only been on the job a little over a day and the Sunday shows were manifesting a level of double speak and #chaos . #Presidential#pardons were the talking point and while Scaramucci was on Fox News Sunday telling #ChrisWallace that he had been discussing the issue with #Trump , lawyer Jay Sekulow was on #ABC telling #GeorgeStephanopolous emphatically that there were in fact no conversations regarding #presidentialpardons taking place at all, nor was the topic even being researched.
The spinning wheel is so broken at this point that the spin meisters can’t even construct a basic grammatical sentence, probably because their heads are aching.
@true.45 - Two state attorney generals are probing a nonprofit led by President Trump's conservative attorney #JaySekulow , following reports that he had directed millions of dollars from the charity to his own family and business.
According to a report by The Guardian on Wednesday, Attorney General Josh Stein of #NorthCarolina and Attorney General Eric Schneiderman of #NewYork confirmed they are examining Sekulow's nonprofit, Christian Advocates Serving Evangelism (CASE). “The reports I’ve read are troubling. My office is looking into this matter,” Stein said in a statement, the news outlet reported. “We’re reviewing their filings,” Amy Spitalnick, a spokeswoman for Schneiderman, told The Guardian in an email.
Both attorneys decided to act after learning that Sekulow, his family members, and companies, who hold senior positions in the nonprofit, have been paid over $60 million by CASE and an affiliate since 2000.
In 2009, @realdonaldtrump 's attorney, Jay Sekulow, targeted poor people for donations to his "Christian" non-profit, Christian Advocates Servicing Evangelism, by having telemarketers urge the needy to make a "sacrificial gift"of a contribution to the group despite being unemployed or "have no money". The charity has brought in more than $60 million to Sekulow and his family since 2000 which used the cash to help support their businesses and loans. Sekulow has received $3.3 million in personal compensation while his wife made more than $1.2 million as treasurer/Secretary.
The group files some financial forms, does business, and raises funds under the name "American Center for Legal Justice", a sister organization also run by Sekulow. The donations could violate federal laws that prevent nonprofit workers receiving "excessive benefits". #AmericanCenteeforLegalJustice#ChristianAdvocatesServicingEvangelism#JaySekulow#06282017 @nydailynews
